I agree with Dove, have you thought about writing what you are eating down. It's a good way to keep track of your diet in general x x x

I've just bought Acai berry supplements, their not slimming pills...they do help you slim down by cleansing your system and de toxing it. Starting it today so we'll see what happens, they do say that you should carry on exercising..

Its all about will power and self control. I love junk food, there fore I dont buy it when I go shopping coz if its not there, I cant eat it. I havent drastically changed my diet but eat more healthy and do exercise at least 3 times a week. I have lost half a stone so far, only another half to loose x

TBH I struggle with the 6 small portions a day as I have a sit down meal with H2B in the evening (although I do have smaller portions than him) I just stick to eating sensibly, allow the occasional snack (especially if I need feel good food) and ensure you get your 5 a day and exercise plenty.

You could try doing other activities like aqua-aerobics, dance classes, martial arts, etc extra which what I'm currently looking into in my local area. :)

I want to join Slimming world or weightwatchers or similar and would like some recommendations from anyone who has attended and your views on them? It's difficult because I'm older so weight is tougher to shift and excersise is limited due to Rheumatoid Arthritis. I only want to lose a stone. Has anyone been to any slimming clubs that have been successful? xxx

I would 2nd Weight Watchers - I really like their approach of not banning any foods, just helping you to eat them in moderation. I find it works really well - if I stick to it!!!

My daughter and her friend has joined SW and have lost half a stone in a fortnight! My colleague is doing weightwatchers and has done both, she says weight watchers is easier, I really don't know? I guess I could try one just to see and if I don't like it try the other! Decisions, decisions, I've never done it before xx

I did try slimming world a few months back after my brother joined and lost 8lb in 2 weeks, but i just could not get on with it, was a lot harder to understand and i did not like the meeting where leader got people up to say how much they lost or put on, and you have to say want you will loss the following week.
I have a few tips to loss weight, put a photos of yourself that you dont like on your fridge and cupbroads, so every time you go to eat something you will see the photo and it will make you think twice about eating rubbish, try a smaller dinner plate, Drink a pint of ice cold water half an hour before you have a meal, it will fill your tummy up.Listen to your body stop eating as soon as you feel full, exercise is key i think, even if your only walk more. Good luck ladies. x

I like slimming world because you don't have to sit and weight things out or work out how much is in everything. I also like it because you can get the recipe books so instead of working out what to do they have whole meal ideas that are free for that meal. It means all you have to do is flick through and cook what you fancy. I like anything that is easy. The only thing I found was I don't eat enough. They always say the big eaters do better as they fill up on all the free stuff that then increases the metabolism where as I don't eat enough to do that. It still works though even without any exercise.

If you like pizzas and chinese takeaways then it's about trying to ease the cravings for greasy foods. I found going vegetarian temporarily and drinking clear soups (i.e. lack of grease, cream, cheese and high carb foods), after an initially hard couple of days eventually meant I stopped wanting to eat greasier foods, meat, sweets, choc. Drank clear soup or water when I was hungry- often we're just thirsty when we think we're hungry. Combine any diet with a bit of exercise- running up and down the stairs, jogging, cycling, walking the dog- all helps. xo

I definately think that by having smaller more frequent meals, you will not only lose th weight u will also keep it off. have u tried using Paul McKenna's 4 Golden Rules. I have a mobility problem which means it is harder for me to exercise, so I have to be careful with what I eat. I have been using the golden rules since january, and I have been able to keep the weight off!
Anyone want to know what they are, I will put them on my wall for ya to find, or u can just buy his book and dvd. I'll put the title on my wall as well xx

I am a sucker for Chinese food, too- but I've discovered that Vietnamese and Korean food are also absolutely delicious, but MUCH healthier in the way they are prepared.

Here's a tasty low fat sweet and sour chicken recipe, too:
