I went for my first dress fitting on Saturday. I tried on about 7 dresses and tbh the majority were gorgeous - but one was reallllly gorgeous. Unfortunately it was way over my budget (even with money off). I said to the assistant that it was between 2 dresses that I'd tried - and bm said to me that I could do with taking pics.....
That's when the assistant nearly bit her head off and jumped down her throat with 'no, no!!! COPYRIGHT!!!!!!' BM looked taken aback but said 'ok, I didn't think.' At this point the assistant turned on her heel, with dresses, and left me to get dressed!!!
Now I've scoured the internet for this dress and can't find it anywhere. I could understand about copyright - but she didn't have to be so rude!!!!! The thing is, the exact same dress is in the shop's window. Now the 'naughty' bit.......we were thinking of taking a pic from outside the shop of the dress (after all, anyone could do that if it's in the window couldn't they ;-)
Would any of you do that....after all, what are they going to do, chase us down the road (or does it wreak of desperation???) lol

Mym72 I would take a picture lol but I would maybe wait until the shop was closed so I did not get caught :) How rude of her I know you are not allowed to take pics but she did not need to have an attitude over it xx

i don't get the copy right thing with dresses, coz your not allowed to take pictures in the shop, but most shops have pictures on their website you can just have! even if the website is copyrighted you can a still do a screen print and crop the bit you want. but yeah i agree with dove def don't know go back there.
Id be tempted to let her catch you taking the photo in the window and then run. Have a laugh at her expense for the rudeness. x

I didn't get the name or designer unfortunately. The assistant wasn't that helpful. All she kept saying was that the dresses were made to measure - but the dresses had tags with sizes on them (she just didn't tell us the sizes or anything about the dresses as I was trying them).
Unfortunately when the shop's closed they have shutters on the windows - so looks like I'll have to take a pic when they're open ;-) lol

I would definitely take the picture from outside the shop, but hurry as most shops change their window dresses regularly.

I have not been able to take photos in any of the places I have been to either. It's very difficult trying to choose between dresses that are in different shops. You could ring up the mean place and ask for the details of the dress and then find out if a nicer shop also stocks it? xx

I've not been allowed to take a picture of me in my dress even though my mum's already paid nearly £900 deposit on it! Take the picture and ask the nameless woman everyone raves about on here to make it for you!!!

I'd go back and take a picture too.. what about taking a picture in the little cubicle?? Get a sneaky one in lol?? If not I'd most defo take a pic from the outside window.. there was no need to be so snotty about it. I'd also ask for the woman to write down the name of the dress/designer maybe.. get her to do her job lol :) xx
