I've been looking around for quotes for someone to dress the venue for us, I think I've found my favourite now, I've got a quote for

    -chair covers and sashes
    -centre pieces
-matching items to the centre pieces for the top table
    -table plan
    -post box
    -guest book
    -candy cart hire

We will be sorting out the favours ourselves, is there something else I have forgotten which I should get a quote for before going ahead with them?

I'm not too sure if we want table runners, we have round tables and think they may look too much.... although we've been told the tables may look bare without them.... but looking back on my friends wedding pics she didn't have them and I never thought the tables looked bare.

We're looking at some lovely candelabras for centre pieces, although I wouldn't want it to look bare, I wouldn't want it all to look too much either :/

We aren't having table runners either because we have round tables, my planner at the venue said we could have them at a charge but she said that with the centrepieces and then if we have coloured favour boxes/bags the. The table will have plenty of colour. I'm thinking of a runner for the top table

I should probably say that the person who said the tables may look bare is the person trying to sell us the runners.
When we've gone on the wedding open evenings at our venue they've had the ballroom set up very basic, no chair covers, just white linen and candelabra centre pieces and it looked stunning just how it was.

Also our quotes for this included set up and came in at under £450, am I right in thinking this is a good price to say it includes the candy cart and sweets and we absolutely love everything this woman does?

I couldn't help you with the quote as a lot of ours is included in the venue package. It it does sound like a good price though and if it was me I'd be inclined to book it .

Our candy cart is costing £125.00
    Post box £25.00

My sisters table plan is costing £25.00

I've bought my guest book which cost £8 on line

The only thing with it is we don't actually need the chair covers and sashes as one of my bridesmaids can provide some, but I'm wondering if it's worth getting them anyway as it will save her some hassle on the day if someone else comes to do it for us and also she's thrown some things in for free because I've asked about quite a lot... so we could argue that the covers and sashes are half price or whatever it works out at because if I didn't get them I'd have to pay for the other things anyway.... plus like I say we can relax a little more on the day :)

What are you doing in the way of plates, cutlery and glasses etc? Some companies who dress the venue also offer this service but not all. Ours doesn'tbut works alongside a company and can get us a discount because we're using their services. We're having a starlight backdrop for our top table and it really adds to the effect :)

My venue also provides the linen but as we're doing our own buffet and not using their catering services we have to source our own crockery etc which is a pain but alot cheaper than their packages lol.
