I gave up smoking over 2 months ago now ;) when I smoked I never had sore swollen gums, but since I've given up my gums are bleeding when I brush my teeth and seem really sore all the time. I have been sucking nicotine tablets to help me with cravings, but I'm only having about 3/4 a day now.... has anyone else had sore gums from the nicotine tablets? I do think it might be them thats causing this inflamation :( what do you think? Any help/ advice would be good especially if you're a dental nurse xxxx

ewww... it's probably the tablets I'm using then? Think I need to try and do without for a while, tried the patches and they wouldn't stick to me!!!! xx

i have given up on the lot, under the theory that nicotine only stays in your body for 48 hours. I'm going cold turkey, I had to give up the fags and now im giving up the patches :( lol
