Just wondering if anyone is able to recommend somewhere/someone I can get a guest book like the one pictured below from? It fits perfectly with our theme and I absolutely love it, but can only find it from US sellers - would prefer to buy from the UK!

    Thanks in advance

I actually just found that exact one for you on Et$y. Just left the link on your page.

In regards to looking for UK sellers only if you go onto et$y there is an option on the bottom left to change shop location to UK from Anywhere.

I shop a lot on et$y and never had a problem with receiving items and the quality I've gotten has always been good from all the different sellers. Gotten clothes, props for wedding, wedding bouquet and my cake topper (top hat) has been bought through this.

    No problem Flossie :)

Don't rule out the US sellers straight off. If its something you really want and can afford but just feel iffy with it being imported then message the seller.

I've ordered bits from us and as long as u look up on custom charges ect then had no problems :) it's a beautiful guest book :) we r struggling to find one to go with our theme as its rustic vintage sort of theme but not full on so haven't a clue. But I'd try ordering. It as u have time in case it doesn't work out x

flossie the us might be your only option if that's the one you have your heart set on...I would decide soon as sometimes delivery takes a little longer, ive bought a few items from us and had no problems....if its a definite no have you thought about making one yourself then it would be more personal?

I've also purchased items from the US via et$y & other places, I've never had any issues.
We've probably ordered about 20 items from the US & only had custom taxes added to 1 order, it was for a custom beer pump/tap system for H2B, which 2 years later is still not plumbed in lol.

From what I've read it seems like people tend to get stung with customs charges more so ordering from the US than if ordering from China... that's the only reason I am a bit wary! I emailed the seller with my concern and she said she would be able to change the value on the packaging so as to try and avoid customs. I might take the risk... after all I did take the risk with my bm dresses from China and that turned out more than fine.

Considered making our own but can't even find a nice enough leather journal/notebook! There is a nice one from Chinese sellers on the bay but there is a quote on the front which obviously started off in Chinese and has been translated to English, but the translation does not make sense at all which obviously ruins it lol.

    Thanks for comments :) xx

I worried about custom charges so tried reading up on it and if I'm right you get charged for anything u buy over price of £15 or any gift over £35 so if she put it as gift if it's under value of £35 you shouldn't get charged or put it as under £15 if wants to put it through as sold item. Only thing you have then is if it goes missing or lost she will only be able to claim back the amount She put it was worth rather than the actual price. But defo worth a shot x

There is a way some sellars get around the customs fees for their customers and thats when they send it as a gift instead of merchandise which is technically against regulations and depends on the seller. It also can depend on the value but changing this can affect their insurance should the product be lost. In my experiece I have always received my items and only been charged customs three times and made about 30+ purchases on Et$y itself from jewellery, clothing, props etc.

I've ordered lots from China but they've always been little things (apart from the bridesmaid dresses). Never had any charges myself either but for some reason I've got it in my head the US is more risky haha! But I think if the seller can mark it as a gift and reduce the price on the packaging I will go for it.

Thanks for the link also IDL, that's a nice book but not 100% sure on it. Think I prefer the original one! x

Found this on 3tsy... they can add lettering or an image of some sort onto one of the corners for an extra fee, so could just have "Guest Book" or something on the cover. Buy some lace/ribbon and wrap it around the tie-up bits... what do you think? Would it look naff?

That would work still, you could make it look close to the one you like, but think about the cost of getting it here, plus the extras to make it look like you want compared to the cost of the original one.

He likes it but I'm still a bit apprehensive about ordering. Not because it's from the US, just because it is a lot more money than I was hoping to spend on a guest book, so I'm going to hold out in case I find an alternative. Spent a lot of money on wedding stuff the past few months!

I found another listing, it's not the last one so I won't miss out if I do decide to go for it.
