i wear glasses and dont know weather to go for contacts on the big day although my h2b says he likes me with them and thats who i am. thoughts plz x
CommentAuthorstranger23
if you wear them all the time then thats who you are why change? i would hate it if my h2b wore contacts for the wedding i think he looks strange without his glasses on :)
CommentAuthorVx Debz xV
If you wear them all the time, then wear them. It's about you two, and your love. x
CommentAuthorJuicy Lucy
I reckon it's totally up to you hun. It might be nice to fel a bit different to every day by wearing contacts but at the same time it might be better to just be yourself! I'm probably not really helping am I?!
CommentAuthorpouchi-loo
I would say contacts, But it is totally what you feel best in.
i wear glasses but im gonna wear contacts for the wedding. i look better without glasses :)
CommentAuthormrs pinkalice
If you wear glasses all the time then you won't look like 'you' without them if that makes sense?
CommentAuthorDrunchPunk
I wear them both, depending on how I feel. But I think I'm sticking with contacts on the day. Until my eyes go scratchy, so I'm definitely having a spare pair of glasses on the day!
But if you're always in glasses, I don't know why you'd change, esp if H2B likes them! Maybe you should have a hair and make up trial before you decide what looks better though?
CommentAuthorPuddleduck87
Id wear your glasses hun. I was going to have my hair dyed brown a few weeks back but I know it wouldn't come out for months coz my hair colour blocks really easy. Everyone I asked said to do it after the wedding if I still wanted to because I have been blonde most of my life and thats how people think of me. They said I would look back on wedding photos and regret not being myself on the day. x

My h2b wears glasses as well but he said he wants to wear contacts on the day. My reply, you wont look like you! :-(. I think if you wear glasses all the time then why not wear them for your special day, after all its who you are.

I wear Contacts all the time, so I'm wearing my contacts, even if my H2b says he likes me in my glasses. I'd definitely agree with DrunchPunk though, try and get a hair and makeup trial done first, so you can decide what you really like, and how you like it.
Do you wear glasses all the time also? You need to look like you, otherwise you may regret it. However if you decide to wear contacts in the future, or wear glasses that will date, it might be worth wearing contacts because the glasses may date your photos really badly in the future. xxx

I wear glasses but always wear contacts when I am going out - so will be wearing contacts on the day - but will keep glasses handy in case I need to change later! Bit like having a spare set of shoes! LOL Think if you always wear glasses then best to stick to that - people are used to seeing me in both. Think my other half would get a shock if I wore them on the day!

Obviously your going to want to look yourself at your best....if your comfortable with wearing them then do (had a look at your profile and you look lovely and really suit them!). I used to wear glasses for years and HATED them...people said they really suited me but I never liked them full stop so glad to say I dont wear them anymore! Its up to you hun...Im sure youll look gorgeous no matter what!!! xxx
CommentAuthordawn
I have started wearing contact lenses as i didn't want to ware my glasses on wedding day and now i find them so comfortable i never want to take them out.. but you need to wear what you feel comfortable in and your glasses look lovely on you x

I went to h2b's sisters wedding yesterday, she wore her glasses and she couldn't have looked more beautiful so I'd say wear them! :-)

I sometimes wear my glasses and sometimes wear my contact lenses but have a similar dilemma - don't know which to wear on the big day! I like my glasses but I like how practical my contacts are!
CommentAuthorJulie
I am having a similar dilemma, I wear glasses all the time but not sure I want to wear them for my wedding. Used to wear contacts but stopped during my first pregnancy so unsure what to do?
CommentAuthorSuzi
I say wear them :o) x
Do not disturb... Already disturbed enough!
CommentAuthormoodypryor2
thanks all i think i will wear them now, as many have said its who i am and ppl are used to seein me in them so would be strange if i didnt on the day, i have never really been comfortable in them but need them xx
CommentAuthorMelly
i wear glasses all the time, and i'll certainly be wearing them on my wedding day. Like most others have said, they are who i am. I wont look like me without them. Another thing is i cant see without them, so could end up marrying someone else.
xx
CommentAuthoressexk
i'm gonna wear my contacts on the wedding day cos both h2b and i prefer me in contacts and can't imagine wearing my glasses on the day myabe if you picture yourself on your wedding day you'll know whats the right thing for you. I nhave started wearing my contacts more to get used to long period in them as only wear them for sport at mo as the evil air conditioning at work makes my eyes so dry i leave work looking like an animal testing rabbit!! x x
CommentAuthorLucie
i just c ant do contacts! the thought of touching my eyes just knocks me sick. really dont like anything with eyes and cant do eye drops. So it will be glasses as normal. Worn them since i was 12 so wouldnt be me without i guess.
CommentAuthoremster
I worn glasses since I was 2 so I would look very strange without them. I'm glad you asked the question. Probably best I stick with what I know. Isn't it strange there is a lack of wedding photos with a bride wearing glasses? I cant decide what to do with my hair? xx
CommentAuthorxx MrsM2b xx
I'm not wearing mine on my wedding day - but i could never do contacts, i couldnt touch my eyeball! :-o
Make sure your photographer knows, he might need to adopt different strategy, particularly to avoid reflections in the lenses.
for what its worth, so many brides do go for contact lenses, or not wearing glasses and having a blurry day. If you're going for contacts, then make sure you've worn them several days in advance so your eyes are used to them.

oh thanks MR Walden!! i'm keeping my glasses, i want to look as normal as possible, obviously except for the looking fabulous and big white dress!

I am 'who Iam' if I decide to wear contacts or my glasses...and in the case of my Wedding Day, it WILL be contacts!
CommentAuthorSteffie
i'm not wearing mine and I dont get on with contacts!!! I'm not really that short sighted and i wear mine as more of a fashion statement although I WILL be the fashion statement that everyone will be in awe of hopefully xxx
CommentAuthorMrs (Dove) Pidgeon
If I didn't wear mine I would walk into things and marry someone else. And get a headache.

Hi, I did wear mine on at the civil ceremony and a the church. It was obvious for me and even my MIL who wanted everything perfect did say nothing about the glasses. If you fill better with your glasses then just wear them, you have enought to think of and stress with with not adding on by not seeing properly or not filling confortable. And if you are worried with the pictures I did wear my glasses and I love our pictures.
CommentAuthorJenny1966
I wear glasses all the time, but decided not to wear them for the registry office and the pics. Put them back on for the reception so I could see again lol
CommentAuthorCeCe
lol@ Jenny!
I will have my specs..may stick them back on in the evening...I don't have the option to just take mine off..I am seriously lacking inthe sight department without my specs!

iv been wearing glasses for a couple of months now, they are supposed to be for distance but iv found myself wearing them all the time. i dont want to wear them for the wedding as it just doesnt look right for me with my tiara and veil on so im going to try and get to the opticians to see if i can get some contacts sorted. x
CommentAuthorCeCe
...did the optitians say they should be worn fulltime hun? If no, I would chat to the Opt and discuss your need to wear them all the time...(eye health etc).
CommentAuthorJenny1966
tbh Sophie I wouldnt bother with the expense of contacts if you've only been wearing glasses for 2 months. I've worn glasses for 20 odd years, and need them for everything! But on the day I was totally fine without them, I even managed to marry the right person, luckily he was the one standing at the front!! lol
