does anyone know if anyone has been married in mexico before ? i have just been reading a website and it says that you have to have blood tests done to check for hiv and psyphilis (cant spell), is this the case ? I am terrified of needles and hate pain (low threshold) and i am ill for days when i have to have a blood test done (stress) and am worn out ?
Please help me someone and tell me this is not true
Thanx all - Kirst xx

My brother got married in mexico and I'm pretty sure he had to have blood tests. Sorry. I hate needles too, have a massive phobia of them and avoid at all times. xx
Now a Mrs!

hi, my sister got married in mexico and she had to have blood tests. she had a full check up here first at an std clinic (i dont know why, just to be sure i think), then they both had to have blood tests while they were over there. i know its not nice, but think of the fab wedding you will have! xx
yeah i heard that, I think turkey is the same. and i read something about a chest xray for one country, can't remember which one or see what the point of that is! I though the blood tests were to check you weren't related lol x

some places require you to give blood, and im pretty sure mexico is one of the places. i thouhgt it was a bit random that certain places want blood etc before hand, check online and in the back of a wedding holiday brochure it normally tells you what is required to get married there. :)

I went to mexico about 7 or 8 years ago and I didn't have to have any injections or blood tests, I wouldn't have thought it would have changed. But if you call your doctors surgery they should be able to tell you for definate. x
