Oh has another weekend off this weekend so on Sunday we are going to Preston to look for a new motorbike for him then we are going to have a drive to Blackpool, thinking of going to the fair but not sure yet as it's £46 for both of us! xx

Morning, This morning has been non stop already! and monitor playing up so just working off laptop. think its going to be one of those days!
Had my storage bags arrive yesterday so I can carry on sorting everything to go in the loft. If we don't get our own house soon I can see us needing to get a storage unit!
Hoping to have a lie in tomorrow as really tired. then knitting and seeing a friends band in the evening. think its Jazz but should be good fun whatever it is.

Morning all, busy day so far. Got LO to school a little late but not much,came home got dog went to mums got dog and been I woods playing with them 2 tired pooches, now home to start on house work and laundry. Got OH 2 girls later for the weekend sounds horrible but I dread them coming over lately (well oldest anyway) as we never know what attitude she's going to give us. How old is she Kelly?? Hubby's eldest has just turned 17 and she has had an attitude for years. Everything has to be to her liking, go her way, if not she is not happy, she complained the whole day of the wedding she wanted the MOH's dress and not the one she wore. Just found out as well that my daughter's friend who is going out with step son, hates going over to his house as when she is there, step daughter gives her the evil looks all the time. My daughter said it is probs because she has a good relationship with me, and her reply was well I am not ruining my relationship with your mum just to make her happy. I am unsure whether to mention it to hubby or not to have words as when she starts going out to the pub and doing it there, living in hte place she lives in, she will most likely find a fist hitting her face!

She's just turned 11 GF and her attitude stinks,she talks to her dad like s**t and I hate it as if I say anything about it we end up arguing, her mum can do no wrong . She throws it in his face when he has to work some Saturday's when he has them that he thinks more of work than her,but it's like he says who pays for her holidays abroad,Xmas presents birthday presents maintainance. HIM . but she says her mum does all that. She's already been in trouble with police for stealing and Internet bullying( which happened at our house,I went mad) like your hubby's eldest looks could kill. Her mum doesn't help either, her attitude to my OH is if they need something and you don't pay you don't see them. That's what maintainance is for. My kids haven't had a holiday in the 5 yrs we have been together yet he's paid for them to go abroad 3 yrs in a row. I've said no more - my kids deserve a holiday aswell.

Thing is with hubby's ex, she has let them have whatever they want, lets them get away with whatever they can do, all they have to do is sneeze and hey presto, day off school. Their attendance has been awful, but hubby won't ever say anything to them as he feels they won't talk to him anymore if he does. He lets them get away with murder as well, but he won't let mine do the same. I've mentioned it to him loads of time that he tells mine off for doing something yet they see him letting his get away with it. I just let step daughter get on with it now. She never stays over as she says she is too old to share a room with my 14 year old daughter, yet not too old to share a room with her 15 year old brother. What goes around comes around, and when she starts going out in the big world she will realise she cannot prance around like she does, she walks quite provacatively swinging her hair around as if to say hey look at me, I am gorgeous, she will get thumped one day at the pub especially when she gives the looks.

I think we are living in the same house GF. As my OH is exactly the same with my kids I think he's learning now that he needs to listen to me more as I told him this would happen yrs ago and hey presto look at it all now. She's just gone up to secondary school and I've told him she's going to get a bashing and he gave me an evil look then agreed and said its what she needs to push her down a peg or too. We have also fell out big time over their weight as they're fed on crap all the time at home as their mums too lazy to cook decent meals so gets take always all the time...oldest is in same size clothes as me and youngest is 7 and in 13/14 yrs,I just don't feel it's right........ Tell me if I'm wrong!!

That is pure neglect on her half there. Step daughter is slim, and beautiful and knows it. Step son is a tad chubby, not much though, but when you look at him and then mine you can see it as mine are all like their Dad and very slim with not an ounce of fat on them. My hubby has realised on some occassions he should have listened to me, but normally by then it is too late. When I told him he needed to have words with step son about snogging his gf in front of everything and sprawling all over the sofa so nobody could sit down, he shrugged it off until I told him that if he did not say something then his gf's dad would be and it won't be so nice as they are not allowed to act like that in her house, so I feel that as she is best friends with my daughter, I need to respect that as well, plus it is not nice sitting watching tv with them snogging each other's faces off. Hubby realised at that point he needed to mention something before another Dad had a go at his son. And quite rightly so.

Yh it is so say he's said to her about it, but she's not doing nothing about it,all my girls are skinny like I was at their age but they're healthy, I couldn't sit there and watch them snogging I couldn't hold my tongue,lol I'd say something. We argue more over his oldest and her ways than anything else tbh. My 12 yr old does give him attitude but not often and I punish her for it but his oldest will literally scream and shout in his face and she just gets told to shut her mouth that's it. She always got to have the last word.... We are meant to be paying for a school trip thing for her but I've told OH that if her attitude doesn't change its not happening and he agreed and told her mum the same, mums attitude towards that was if you don't I'll pay for it then,but tells OH she can't afford this n that, she doesn't even get out the car or talk to me if I'm home to get kids when they come if OH isn't home. Damn rude.

I'm up already and was working last night! Oh well off now for 4 nights. Taking some annual leave as it's LO birthday on Monday. OH is taking Monday off too so will be lovely to have some family time.
Tomorrow we are having a party for LO at soft play. Have 4 kids that can't go now but because I booked a certain party area I have to pay for then anyway bit peeved at that. If it's nice on Sunday we are going to go to the park and take LO on the Thomas train. Then on Monday we are taking him to the zoo! Can't wait

It is hard Sarah, I want to say so much but bite my tongue all the time,there are times I've had to walk away from OH daughter as I'd end up smacking her myself,even my 12 yr old says the same. She always comes with me to sort horse out and we take longer there so we aren't there listening to her, don't get me wrong she's not always like it just 90% of the time. She listens to private conversations and runs home to tell mum which we have now come wise to it so are cautious with what we say now in front of her.

No there is no need for it, I don't know if it's jealousy or not but it needs to stop what ever it is,I've said to OH she's going to be pregnant or have an asbo by 14 and she won't be coming into the house if she is,harsh I no but that's the way she is and mum doesn't help matters.and again he agreed. He said we have other kids to help walk the right paths if she wants to go the wrong way that's up to her as she doesn't listen to us. I think that's the reason OH doesn't want them at the daytime of the wedding only the evening.

Yeah I would be the exact same as you, don't want your kids thinking that's acceptable.

Yes things have come together well this year. The only thing I'm disappointed about is that I've made no further progress in developing a music career. I've always wanted to be a professional flautist, but while I have done some paid work it's nowhere near enough to live on. Some of the chamber things that I do just involve splitting the ticket money between us. It may be that maternity leave will give me the chance to do a bit more, but unfortunately it does involve spending money that I can't spare. I'd love to do a proper CD but it will cost far too much.
