I get the munchies a lot!!! It's quite a drive between the church and the reception venue, so I'm thinking of getting a basket made up of grub for me and my man to eat on the way. I love Haribo, but that's probs not the best idea. Anyone else thinking of doing the same?

Lovely idea if you get an attack of the munchies. Im making sure theres a bottle of bubbly in the car and hoping that will keep hunger at bay till the meal. Steves a snacker too so hed think its a great idea, but if i eat sweets beforehand Id probably not feel like all my meal but then our meal is scheduled soon after. xx

lol, not a good idea to eat then! The boudoir photographer we're having for our Hen party (full makeover, pampering, champagne photo shoot etc) offered food throughout the day, but I turned it down for the same reason. Not a good look to feel bloated during the photo session!

I think if I went to a wedding in America, they'd have to roll me out at then end of the night - they eat and drink so much! Our wedding is at 11am and sit down meal to begin at 2.30, hadn't really thought of it, but it is a fairly long time in between, although saying that we arrive back at the venue at 1.30 and drinks and canapés will be served, so that should keep us happy....

Lovely idea though, you could do a basket with a smorgasbord of luxury chocolates, go down lovely with the champers!

My church has said that after our ceremony we can have bubbly and nibbles.

Because there is about a 45 minute drive to the reception venue and people will be waiting around for photos to be done then it might be an idea to have just a little something.

But i'm stuck with ideas of what to have!

I don't particularly want cake - or the usual sausage rolls and pork pies because there will be enough of those throughout the rest of the day. It's got to be easy to prepare or cheap to source but something that will go down really well.
