    Hi,
I bought my dress 2nd hand and the shop that sells the dress would have given my bm a tutorial in how to do it up and put it on etc.
If you see in my pics, I don't know what to do with the tying stuff! The lady's photos who I got it from don't have any bow, it just tailors away. I'll put the link to her pics on my profile.
Bit lost as to how to do this up and make it look professional.

Also - is the way she does it better, with all of the tying going one way, or is a criss cross better?
    Thanks!

think the kris-kros is pretty, if you shorten the loops of the bows and have the tails of the ribbons train down the bottom the dress the loops wont sag, they will be cute and stand up. also if you get into it and the 'iron' the bows with your hair straightners it will leave pressed marks so when you do it again you'll know where you want it! you can also do that on the day if the ribbons get bent out of place, i use my straightners to iron h2b's tie and collars!
also there is a way of tying a bow so you get both loops on top instead of one being up and one being down like hwne you tie your shoes. If you dont know how message me and i'll try and explain it!

It's the criss-cross for sure, the way it's supposed to be done is underneath not over the top crossing though, it makes it lie flater & neater as well, having the ribbons trail from the bottom looks far prettier than from the top :)

I did my sister's dress like that, it looked nicer that way I only did it that style as I braid my hair myself & do dutch plait more often than french, it just the reverse, cross underneath instead, looks pretty & cool too LOL

:) tis easy to tie a bow! explaining it - not so much!!
right, so normally when you tie your shoe laces you make a lopp with one end, wrap the other end round it and pull it through - something about a rabbit running round the tree and through the hole?!
well, to make the bow so both loops are 'up' fold both ends into loops and wrap one around the other and pull through. make sure you dont twist the fabric - if the ribbon is shiny on one side, keep that on the outside of both bows. Its that simple, then wiggle and adjust til the loops are the same length and stand up all pretty :)
    hope that helps :)
