We're buying the pocketfold invitations from a company on the Internet who have 10% off until the end of April, but making the inserts ourselves.

Our STD cards (which went in the post today!!!) we made from scratch.

haha I know its amazing how much time they take to make and also the amount of space they take up. Our kitchen, living room and office is getting full now with bits and bobs all over the place. Can't wait until they are all made so everything can be tidied away again. I hate mess.

I'm going to do a joint venture on the invites with my friend - she's a graphic designer and over the moon that I asked her to help me with them. I know what I want them to look like (as in I've seen the style I like lol so will probably do a cheeky copy-cat lol) but I'm not very artistic/practical when it comes to that kind of thing, so that's where she comes in! Looking forward to it though, obviously nearer the time though lol. x

We got ours from Deb'ams wedding stationery online, they were very easy to deal with and not bad price considering some of the websites we looked at.

Made mine from scratch, didn't get DIY pack but got vintage paper in pack and obviously things like ribbon and brads, but sat down and did them all myself with my MIL2b doing a couple to keep me motivated! Keep forgetting to post the rest of them though, need to get a move on! :)

So if you had a kit with everything in together that you just had to make would you rather do that than try and buy and source all the bits and bobs to match? (given that it works out cheaper than the ready made ones)

So if you could get a kit with a wide design choice to make them your own would that make you more confident to do them yourself? I'm talking about all the fancy embellishments being ready made and the ribbons pre tied etc so all you would have to do is put them together using a template. The end result would mean that anyone could make pro looking invites at half the price of ready made ones and you have the satisfaction of doing them yourself.

I am gonna make a template then hand craft each invite to match the template. Will be time consuming but worth it and makes your guests feel special if they receive something that has been personally done for them xxx

I made a few jigs when I was making mine so they are all stuck at the same heights and in the same places. It works a treat when you are in mass production mode.

We have done round 1 with the day invites. Just got to do the evening ones now ready for when we get the replies back as we may upgrade a few people if certain people decline. Oh and then all the OOS and thank you cards! It feels never ending lol.

We have made ours picture on profile. It took ages tying the bows lol

But I am pleased to say they are all finished now. We are making our table plan as well as name cards and menus. Not sure if we are having a post box yet but if we do we will be making our selves :-)
