i have a lovely colleague who is looking for something different to the standard wedding guest book ... she has seen the finger print designs but the dont really appeal to her ..she really wants something that people might not have seen before , i told her you are the ones to come up with amazing ideas
I quite like the idea of the hearts (or whatever shape you wish) that gets written on and slotted into a frame.
What about a lovely slice of a tree trunk which guests can write on?

I Would love on of the drop box guest sign things where your guests sign a wooden heart and drop it into a big frame. An alternative that she could make herself that I may do too is a signing frame. Big frame with pic of me and h2b in middle and guests sign all around it. Could hang it up at home then

We're sticking some first and second class stamps on a bunch of postcards from the place where we're getting married.
We'll ask our guests to write us message or draw us a picture on a postcard and pop it in the post.
That way we'll get to enjoy lovely notes from the wedding reception arriving at our home for days afterwards :)

I love wish trees and they are now getting very popular. I would love a photo booth which you get your guests to write messages on their photos

We're having a video guestbook so people can take a photo and type a message or do a video message, we get a printed book and a dvd with all messages so will be nice to lok through a couple of weeks after x

Get a p01@r01d camera and ask the guests to all take a photo of themselves and write a note on it then she can pop them all into a photo album.
Or what about a video guest book. Get someone to go around with a video camera and ask all the guests to say the message they'd usually write in a guest book!

I think we're going to go for a water-colour map print where people can sign around it and leave a message and also recommend places to visit, and then we'll get it framed. We went travelling around the world last year so it fits us perfectly!
I am currently doing up a bicycle. I have painted it and wtapped ovy around it... Im adding flowerd and beads and fairylights but ive not got round to it yet. Ive bought lots of brown tags and spokey dokeys so people can write on the tags and attatch them to the bicycle wheels. I have photos in my d.i.y but its not completed yet. My partber is bicycle mad its not just an idea thats come out of the blue

having a look abut i have found these ....
Create a quilt and have your guests sign or illustrate different squares.
A birthday calendar guestbook is such a good idea – that way you already have everyones birthdays from both sides to start your new life.
If you love to travel how about having a globe as a guestbook?
An adorable guestbook idea is to glue mini envelopes into a book and let guests write you tiny letters. This would also work well with photo booth pics too.
Instead of a guestbook, have your guests write on Jenga pieces. Every time you play Jenga, you’ll be reminded of your fabulous day and your wonderful friends and family!
Writing on wine bottles is a perfect idea for the couple’s who are particularly fond of a glass of wine, plus it makes a lovely keep sake to perhaps open on future anniversaries.
Writing messages onto a map is great for a travel themed wedding or for a couple who’s travelling after their big day!
guests to sign jig saw puzzle pieces for future use!
Why not try and double up your guests place names with your guest book idea, by getting them to write a message on the reverse of their place name? you get to keep each place name in a lovely memory box.

We're having a photobooth guest book. Essentially a guest book will be set up by the photobooth company we're using where the guests get a copy of their photographs and a second copy is used for the guestbook which they can write something beside as many times as they want.

I had a lovely ivory wishing tree, I blew up our favourite black and white wedding photo and then stuck all the messages around the photo then framed it.
It's now hung up in the kitchen as well as our seating plan... X

I went to a wedding Fayre and saw a guest book idea that I liked which was basically a photo frame with holes in at top so you can post love hearts in at the top with messages on. I have since then been to another wedding Fayre and seen a photo booth and they do guest books, I really like this idea as both OH and myself both enjoy photography and it appeals to the both of us :)
