So Just got back from a wedding fayre and came across the below package from a supplier and wondering if this is a good price or not?

    Included is the following - 100 lycra covers,100 bows,100 embellishments, 100 favour boxes/bags,10 centre pieces,10 mirrored plates,10 table runners,10 table name holder stands,1 postbox/bird cage,1 easel/frame,2 floor standing candelabras and scatter crystals?

Also I'm slightly confused how many chair covers we need; We are having 40 guests for the wedding breakfast and a total of 80 in the evening so do we just dress the chairs for the 40 wedding breakfast guests or dress 80 chairs for everyone as not sure if you have seating in the evening reception; I presume you would as people won't be dancing all night :S

If you are having your evening reception in the same room as your wedding breakfast then most venues will move the tables around during early evening so that there is more room for dancing etc. So there will be less tables/chairs, as most people like to mingle and dance anyway. SO you wont need to have any extra chair covers for the evening.

I've been told we only need chair covers for the day guests, as the chairs are all moved around for the evening do anyway.

You forgot to say what the price was hun, but I'll be honest we looked at somewhere that was offering packages and it seemed like a really good price, but then when we spoke to someone else who we loved all her stuff (just looked so much nicer then this other company) she priced up just what we wanted and it ended up being the same price for the same as what the package was offering but because we didn't want everything in the package it was cheaper.

So I'd say be wary of packages as you end up paying for things that you don't actually want.

Was that wedding fayre at the Royal Court by any chance? We were there earlier to have a look around as my Mum booked it for a blessing ceremony before we'd had a chance to look round.

Well they said if I only wanted 50 then they would do me the deal for £399 so still good but I thought they would offer me more then a £100 off as technically 50 chair covers e.t.c is half of the original package but still better then nothing; it depends if I need that any centre pieces e.t.c so might try and haggle more or just pay normal price :)

I was getting quotes for around £100 for 50 chair covers and sashes so that might be about right. But I only went to a couple of people

The cheapest I have seen, was 0.80GBP for chair covers and sash plus 10GBP set-up. I seen it advertised on the tree of gum.
