I really had my heart set on a dark pink of some form (fuchsia/cerise) for our colour scheme but I'm finding it really difficult to find cheap favours in those colours. We wanted personalised napkins but can't find those colours at all. So my mum has suggested a pale colour...lilac is my favourite colour... but I really wanted the pink for the wow factor, to really stand out. Quite upset to be honest and no matter how much I tell myself that it's a rediculas think to be upset about ,I can't help it. It doesn't feel right changing it coz then it won't be how I wanted my day.

We're having a four colour theme - fuschia, rose pink, apple green and sage green. I've bought 38mm organza ribbon from ebay and am going to tie big bows round the napkins with a flower head in the centre.

For favours, what about a cup, bucket or something with sweets wrapped in bright pink foil? Or you could get plain white boxes or any shape and wrap them with a bright pink ribbon. Fill them with anything you fancy.

I was sure I was choosing yellow but Ive sat for 2 days looking at bouquets and table flowers and we've agreed on blue lol

We're just getting a disposable camera for each table, a scratch card and a shot for each person as favors.

Sellers on ebay should be able to do pink ones

I think maybe my mother is trying to wind me up. I said to her about the pink things being too expensive. So she said change the colour, what about light blue or lilac..To which I replied I was worried that too many light colours would look to washed out and suggested maybe plain ivory boxes with personalised pink ribbon. She is now telling me that make your own boxes would look cheap...maybe she just doesn't like the colour I originally wanted and is trying to find a way to get her own way. I said about having fuchsia pink bridesmaids dresses with a royal blue sash. both me and bridesmaids thought this was a really good colour clash but my mother pulled that face that only a mother can pull and said how about a pale blue with the pink and now it feels like she is trying to change the colour all together. She's paying for a lot of stuff so I would feel really bad telling her to b*tt out. Don't really want a responce to this post... I just needed the rant. I'll say rant at my CBM (my sister) about it later. xx

I thought pink would have been one of the easiest colours to choose - everything Ive looked at seems to be pink lol

Im not doing wedding favours as such though, im doing the cancer reasearch pins. They are silver with fushia pink stones in them so they still tie in with my colour scheme.

Definitely stay with your pink. It's a serious wow colour and if I didnt hate the colour pink I'd definitely go for something like that. There are loads of ways you can get around it, even if you looked at favours in white or Ivory and just bought a load of fuscia ribbon for bows and stuff. That should work x

I said that to my mum earlier Wales and all I got back was "as long as you can tie the bows x" Which tells me she is annoyed coz she hasn't got her own way.
Also looked at the cancer research pins sbride but was quite expensive, we just can't afford them.

    xx
