I'm using jam jars that are wrapped in lace and burlap/hessian. These will be filled with wild flowers and hung on florists wire on the end of the pews. We didnt want to spend too much money either for the same reason. X

All we had were two large flower displays at the front and vases of flowers on the main altar and high altar, it was a beautiful church so didn't really need anything else xx

We're having fire buckets with flowers in down the aisle. Our reception is in a goods shed at a railway museum so it's kind of in keeping with the theme. OH got 6 silver buckets off bay of e and will be spray painting 'fire' on them. I can't remember how much they were but they weren't expensive and we'll give them away as presents for witnesses etc afterwards.

yea i was told she would check but tbh it keeps our budget down also so i dont mind at all. would have been nice but its nt a small church so more cost effective to do the pull bows or sash bows than flower buckets lol

would of looked lovely tho. nm :-)

I am having the same as MrsHartley2B jam jars with hessian and lace, but tying them up with baler twine, as we are farmer themed :) a couple of jars with flowers in in the windowsils, and 2 milk churns at the entrance .... but also bringing all of them back to the venue to dress up the venue too, 2 birds 1 stone :D

I was asking about this a few weeks ago, we will be having a lot of floral decorations, a mixture between fake and real flowers, I have found in home Bargains some lovely artificial rose bunches which I will be using for every other pew in the church then real flower arch by the door and by where the Revd will stand.

i had 3 flower pedestals made up of white flowers which cost about £70 for the people at the church to do... i also got some white wicker hearts and tied lace onto them and made the lace into a bow for the end of the pews, i didn't go mad but it looked nice :)

We will be having flowers around the cathedral but it will be organised with people within the church as they are the experts on what best will suit the cathedral however we will be picking colours and of course saying if we like the styles or not. We will be looking at something with hearts at the end of pews thinking wicker hearts every other row with the other rows with welsh love spoon design :)
