I've decided to just let the venue we are having our reception at provide the chair covers which are at £2.50 each when its x51 its quite alot of money really lol so wasnt too enthusiastic to say I'll have the sashes aswell! The room was actually set up for a wedding when I went to have another look last week, and they had decided not to have the sashes..and to be honest..it didnt look weird, and could probably deal with not having them at all....but at the same time..I kind of want a splash of colour on the chairs! I've been looking on the bay of E and I seem to be able to buy a pack of 50 for just under £40... worried they'll be terrible quality however...would apprecaite your thoughts on doing this.. thanks in advance! xxx

Yeah I was wanting the organza ones anyway, so was wondering if the quality is any different to the ones that hotels charge about 2.50/3 quid a sash on.. seems a bit ridiculous lol xx

£2.50 for a sash!?!?! that's ridiculous!!! i paid 50p each for mine and that was hiring them.

I would just get a roll of organza and cut them to size and tie em on, half the time they come undone anyway

Before you buy your own you might want to point out the cost to them of diy and see if you can't get them to give you a reasonable price.

I've bought one of ebay and it was as good a quality as what the venues use if your worried contact the seller and ask for a sample one then you can decide if you want them or not

I'd shop around to see if anyone else can do them. Where abouts are you? Our lady is doing an offer at the moment of £1.50 per chair with sash.. x

The reason im thinking of buying them is that..I can sell them afterwards...whereas paying just to hire them..means I dont have anything to show for what I've paid and I think its alot of money to pay just for a bloody ribbon on a chair! lol Atleast I could get a bit of money back..i dont get it lol is it really such an effort for a hotel to just have them on the chairs as standard? Find it so irritating that we have to pay to use them for just a couple of hours for the meal! Maybe I should just do what the people were doing when I went in to have a look..and just have sashes on the top table chairs...

I thought it was quite expensive to get someone to do the sashes for us but we decided to go for it as we didn't want the pressure and stress of having to tie bows around all the chairs on the morning of the wedding. It will be cheaper to buy it yourself but it depends if you are willing to set it up on the morning? Xxx

Ohh no..Dont worry about the setting up, the hotel have said they will do it all for me, if i give them idiot proof instructions..so thats not an issue if I want to buy things myself... Ive made my centrepieces myself etc and iv just got to take pictures of how I want it..so they can do it for me..they were very kind and said the last thing they want is for me to do it on the day of my wedding xx

Ohhhh sorry I didn't know the venue would set it up for you. In that case, I'd buy them. Check eBay for people selling off ones from their weddings? Xxx

Perhaps you could ask the seller to send you a swatch of the material then you've seen what you'd be getting on the bay.
