Hi everyone. Finally have funds in place and want to put a deposit on chair covers. Has any one used the national companies that off them for £1.50 a chair and how did it go? i've 80-100 chairs to cover! x

they just get delivered and you have to set them up... I'd say that maybe that isnt a stress you might want dressing chairs on your wedding day ... I have gone for a company that do it i know its more expensive but i dont haver to worry about ironing/dressingand undressing chairs when i should be enjoying myself :)

I have a quote for £2.50 per chair cover or £3.00 for chair cover and sash. They set it all up and take it away. I agree with Cazzleberry that it's probably not worth the stress doing it yourself! Unless you can get a friend or family member to do it for you and trust their bow tying abilities! lol

I had this same issue, and was going to do the dressing of the chairs myself the morning of the wedding, after some thought we decided that i didnt want to risk them looking pants...as many would need pre-ironing to get the folded creases out (according to some people who have done this already) and then putting added pressure on myself to be ready on time, i would rather have a lovely bath, and then get ready with my Bm's and champagne! xx we couldnt get into the venue the night before as there was another function on. Can you do your chairs the previous evening?

If we can afford it, this will be the option that we will go for. You don't necessarily need to iron them, if you have a steam generator iron you should be able to steam any creases out. I believe that some will also deliver a day or two early for the same cost. We have 80 chairs to do, and with half a dozen of us doing them, we don't think it will take too long.

I was in country baskets yesterday and they sell individual sashes for £1 or you can get a massive roll of the material to make your own - may be worth a look? Lots of different colours too!!

We had our chair covers with lilac and silver organza bows for £2.95 per chair. Its a lot of stress to do it yourself. Better to get the pro's in than do it yourself.

As we are only having a very small wedding and the venue already has chair covers on the chairs we are not bothering. Might have sashes on the chairs but they probably be free (thanks gran).
Anyone in the relevant areas try poshfrocks4chairs. £2.50 a cover and sash and the woman who runs the franchise is a fussy cow so no sub standard bows or creased or dirty covers.
Anyone looking at other companies ask if they are cotton or stretchy. Cotton don't fit on many chairs and crease very easily. Stretchy fit most chairs (i would say all without arms bit someone will find some they don't fit).

you done well becky!!!! We got ours for £240 set up for chair covers and sashes. Not bad without discount. Nobody works for NHS Bristol who does that :( Lol good luck. If your sister will do them Abby then thats not so bad as you still dont have to stress over it yourself. They are worth while if you dont mind washing them afterwards or folding them all up again when finished with for them to be sent back. xxx

Mine are now £0.95 per chair cover including sash, with £30 courier costs. Our venue will set them up for us for free as well, so all in all ours come to about £95! Really pleased with that. Xx
