Our wedding is for 24 of us.....and I am really not sure how to set out my tables....there are 6 of us in the bridal party....then their partners, and so i would really like all 8 of us together on one table, then possibly setting out 3-4 more tables with 4 people on each. Then i saw a banquet setting, and i really like this idea, it means we all sit together, and as theres only 24 of us, it wouldnt have to be a mile long table..... I saw this and thought this looked lovely. I think this is my favorite.

or a square with a gap in the middle.....this would be good for putting a table in the centre with the cake on...

how are you setting your tables out? and do you have any other ideas that i could look at please?

There will be nearly 50 at our breakfast so we will be having the top table with 5 round tables for the guests. Most important people will sit on the tables closest to the top table. I do like the table on the first picture. Very nice. xxx

I like the big banquet table the best - i think its perfect for your numbers Not keen on the table with the gap in the middle - makes me think of a conference

nicsquared you are right....LOL it DOES look a bit confrence-y doesnt it? yes i really like the top picture, and with only 24 people, we wont be too far away from the people at the other end. I think if i was having 50 people, i would be the same mrsbroady2B. the bottom picture IS actually the room we are having, so theres room for any way we want it, but i really like the top picture best.

I also like the banquette setting best - I quite dislike separate tables and would have loved a U shape for our wedding but not really possible due to wooden beams in the room. We'll have a few big tables all mismatched in size.

LMB , the venue also suggested U shape aswell .....but i still think i like the top picture best...

I like the first idea and if my guest list didn't keep bloody getting bigger I would have similar I am having a top table then 6 tables of about 8 in a semi circle all facing top table so no tables are at the back if that makes sense x

lysblac...yes i agree and i think the brides have spoken and thats what i am going to go with. i think it will look neater than tables dotted here and there with just 4 people on them......with just 24 people we can all talk and eat together, no-one feeling out of it
I like the first one best, the third with the gap in the middle is ok but you'd have a job getting over the table to cut the cake

i went to m nieces wedding in 2010, she had it at Normandy hall raggedy anne they had the top table along the top and 2 long tables down the middle they wasn't joined so not exactly like the u shape but looked really good made every one close but still room to get a round if you are only having 24 people i would have everyone on one table would look really intimate.

Well maybe i will just put out the menu's short distances apart, and just have the names on the back of them as i was going to, i just wont really need a table plan. Well i WILL have a table plan, but just not using the names as guidance.
