We went dress shopping yesturday and have some photos of the dresses. Now do I let my oh see them and see what his opinion is as none are 'the dress' or just keep it complelty secret?

Up to you. I speed my oh pictures of dresses for mags. But not seen me in them, but he had a memory of a seive so even if I showed him the dress he would not remember.

Personally, I'd keep it a secret as I'd the like the element of surprise but as Whovianbride2b has said, perhaps gage his reaction to styles from magazines.

I agree with Emmilou and InDreamland, I would keep it secret, just in case you pick something similar or even find that one of those actually is the one. I personally would want the first time my OH sees me in a wedding dress to be on our wedding day, but it is totally up to you. I won't be showing anyone who's invited to the wedding outside those who come with me to the fittings etc, because I want everyone to see it on the day rather than from a photo in a bridal shop xx
Keep it a secret. What happens if he turns round and says he does not like any of them, or he says he likes one, then you will most likely edge towards styles like that instead of maybe getting the one in a different style. They always love the dress you are wearing.

I'd personally keep it a secret! I know I will struggle not to show OH or tell him what my dress looks like, but I really want it to be a surprise on the day and can't wait to see his face when he sees me for the first time! It's also one of the "must have" photos that I want to capture :) x

I've showed mine pictures of models in them and said 'what do you think of that one' but never me in any dresses. I wouldn't want to show him something he could end up loving for it to be totally different when he sees me on the day incase he pictured me in another dress! If that makes sense! X

Thanks ladies, I showed him some dresses to see what he thought of them and he said he liked one style and only way I could explain to him how I felt fat in it was to show him ( hated the dress haha) and after seeing it he could understand why I didn't like that shape as didn't want him expecting one thing that will never happen. Unfortunatly my lo was looking at the photos and showed her dad! Oops lol, so have now deleted and will be making sure I don't have any on my phone now haha. Luckily I didn't love any of the dresses and he was so tired I doubt he even noticed them and with his memory he can't remember what I wore the day before haha x

I didn't show OH anything about my dress but have asked him about dresses in magazines and at fairs. I would advise against it as he has told me he doesn't like trains but this was my one thing I knew I wanted and I love my dress with a train. It's now making me think he won't like it especially as he's had nightmares about wedding dresses with trains.
Just my opinion but if I could go back I wouldnt.

My husband came with me when I tried the dresses on. It needed to be taken in anyway so it looked very different on the day. Plus, he forgot what it looked like by the time we got married. It was really fun going with him, especially as my mum is back home in France and my bridesmaids were his half-sisters and are 13 and 14.

Once I pick the dress there no way in hell I'll show him or tell him, closest he'll get to knowing is if we pick a cake that I want detail from the dress on but being a bloke doubt he'll put two and two together haha. X
