I want our wedding cake to be really simple - plain icing with ribbon around that matches the bridesmaids (cadbury purple) but don't know what to put on the top....have been looking at figures for the top and would quite like a dark haired bride and a red head groom but the one's I've seen are ridiculously expensive. Any idea's where I can get some cheap cake toppers from? Looked on the bay of e and there's one or two but nothing amazing....suggestions anyone? xx

On the bay of a they do mirrored hearts and you can have your name and other halfs name and date of your wedding put in? They're about 10pound I think I was going to buy one. It I've just gone for flowers on top now xx

Yea I did see them - and I also thought of flowers too. Ideally I want something amusing with a lovely ginger groom - we're both quite daft and like a laugh - wanted something to reflect that. My imagination has come to a halt with everything just lately! Am I over thinking it all!?!?!?! lol xx

Fran what about this...l-ego figures? I looked and found them on the bay of e,I was going to buy some as favours for page boy and flower girls, bride and groom are about 7pound and they come with different colour hairs etc go have a look! Theyre different and fun! X

if you want one thats really good then youll have to pay the price unfortunately. my personalised topper was £189 including postage and an acrylic display case for after the wedding. if you just want bride and groom then i think its £130 including postage. i will put the link on your page for you - best ones i have seen xx
I recomend W3ddibgStar toppers they are only about £30/40 and have lots of cool, funny an apt toppers!

We aren't having anything on the top of ours. I did buy a heart with our name "Mrs & Mrs XXX", and the date off the Bay of E, but when it arrived, it looked really tacky.

My cake topper is a personalised one, costing about £120. I know it's a bit expensive, but for something we can keep forever it will be worth it! I really do like the idea of lego figures though...I might use these for an extra to the favours for the wedding party!

Just seen a ginger groom and a brunette bride (us!!) in lego figures for £5.90 :-) add them with some purple flowers and I think we have a plan :-) xx

They're great aren't they fran!! If my theme was a bit more fun I wouldve deffo had them as a cake topper worth every penny! Getting them as favours for kids as a keepsake with our coloured hairs :)xx
