I have always had quite a curvy bum and thighs and although I'm a size 12/14 on bottom because of it I have always loved my curves. But family ( mainly sils) like to mention my big j-lo bum as they call it. And I haven't taken offence as I like my bum. And thought they were always exaggerating it. But I spoke to oh the other day and asked if I do really have a big bum and he said yes! At first I thought he was winding me up but he said honestly it is big. So now i'm thinking I'm going to look all arse in my dress! I love my dress and won't change it for anyone but one of the reasons I loved it is coz it shows off my curves now I'm slightly worried that my bum going to look too big in the dress! All the charts say to go for a different shape because of my body but I just loved this one. Is it ok for big bum ladies to wear tight fitting dresses? I won't change my dress as I know it's the one but feeling abit self conscious now where as I've never been self conscious of my bum!

If you love the dress and the way it makes you feel then wear it!

I am cursed with a horrible flat nothing-bottom and would love to have a bit more to shake, so I couldn't really get away with a lovely tight fitted dress that's all baggy in the rear. Those dresses were made for bootylicious women! Rock dat look girl.

Also did your OH mention how much he likes it? Because I'm betting he does a lot.

No one has said having a big bum is a bad thing - if you've got it flaunt it!! Those dresses are designed to flaunt your curves!

It sounds like you have nothing to worry about. Make the most of it.

30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

Sounds like you're a similar shape to me - little on top and a bigger bum. The people that have made comments are probably just jealous that you have a nice bum to flaunt and they don't.

If your OH likes it and you love you're dress then ignore everyone else and have a great time showing it off. Maybe ask the DJ to dedicate the song "Bootilicious" by Destinys Child (lol that feels so old) to your SIL. X
