Wedding Forum - August 2015 Brides unite ;)...

The only other place black is really being used is in the table and chair linen to create the "chess board" effect as part of our Alice in Wonderland theme.

Oh also my replacement wedding and bridesmaid dresses have arrived in store, apparently they are perfect! Can't wait to get them x

17 weeks ....... let h2b choose shoes for my little one, one less job for me :) i've given everyone a nudge to make sure they are starting on speeches. we've got our pre-wedding pics in 3 weeks and i've given my h2b a list of things that need doing soon. including visit the vicar which we still haven't done and its worrying me!!! i don't think we will get over to see the venue again before the wedding so im going to have to email the wedding co ordinator but not sure what to include in the email?

I ordered lots of bits for the hen actually this weekend, mostly for my outfit and then some bracelets to give all my hens :)

Mrs hurren my ohs family are the same, most of my family have replied but not one of his. We know most of them are coming though as they have booked rooms on the wedding night. But still they could send the rsvp back.

it just annoys me, i sent a day invite to my one friend on Monday as i boosted her as my one cousin couldnt attend and she messaged me yesterday saying she would defiantly be there, it really is that simple. I know some people have to check with work but after 6 weeks i would have thought they would know.

Ive told oh he has to speak to his Mum about it this week as we are still waiting on 11 people, thats 11 out of our 40 guests grrrrrr.

I just wish my moh was going to mine but I know it really isn't her thing. X

8 weeks tomorrow until my hen weekend I cant wait. I know we are going to the lodge with hot tub and spa and my friend let slip that we have a cocktail making class and another friend told me 'the thing booked' includes dinner on the saturday. I havent let anyone know that I know whats going on as my sister has went to great length to try keep it a secret from me and hopefully i wont give it away.

My hen night in in july so that my mum can make it and i didnt want it the week before the wedding. looking forward to them both :)

5 weeks tomorrow will be my hen, can't wait :)

I still need to decide what to wear on the Friday night, I'm pretty much sorted for the Saturday night :D

I also need to pick a dress for my work hen in July as well.

I think people just like to leave RSVP's till the date given, 3 weeks and I'm gonna start chasing :) everyone's hen plans sound great. I've had 1 already and got drinks in town in july with frpiends n spa day with family the day before the wedding

I feel left out, I'm only having 1 hen day! No going in for all the fuss of several, feel it should be with the special ones not every Tom, dick and Harry as it were. No offence intended to others, just my opinion :) might have a little spa day with our moh in July as she can't make the hen though, mind you, it will probably just turn into a Harry Potter day with popcorn haha x

My hen weekend away is small with my main girls, but then my mum is organising an afternoon tea near home for a wider audience including aunties and grannies etc.

My hen do's aren't big events I'm the same don't want to much fuss. I've only got 3 as my friend is preg so took me away to a concert for the night which was really nice, drinks with friends and as my family don't live near or drink the spa day which they have arranged as a little treat for me :) plus means my 14 year old niece can be involved.

Sort of three hens yeah Catherine lol, although two are sort of just one long hen weekend. Going out locally on the Friday and then going out somewhere else on the Sat (slightly different people are coming to each night though) then going out locally again with my ladies from work.

No offence taken, I'm only having it how I am because we weren't sure if everyone would want to do what the bridesmaids have planned for sat so doing the Friday for those that can't make it or who don't want to go on the sat-it's only the same as if we'd gone somewhere else for the whole weekend really, but makes it more accessible for people. Then I'm having the work one because I am really close to the people I work with, we're like rocks for each other. We discussed whether they would come on the proper hen, but decided it would be better to just do a separate one as there were a few of us.

Yeah the Friday is my Birthday and it's the last day of term, so then I have a week to recover after the two nights. Hopefully won't need it all though.

Bridesmaids dresses ordered and should be delivered this week, fingers crossed. We also discovered that the OH put the equations slightly wrong in the forecast budget/savings spreadsheet for the wedding and turns out we have essentially "paid off" the wedding and honeymoon 3 months ago. Really good news and it means we can afford to have some additional people during the day without it impacting us financially. :D

Dress is perfect I want to get married now lol x

Me too Appy, I think it's because everything's basically sorted & only the boring bits left now, like travel insurance!!

We had a huge row the other day as apparently I've wasted too much money on our wedding :( The argument started as I'd picked up some small bird cages to finish off the cake table & sweet table, to match our centre pieces. He said I'm wasting money on things nobody would even notice, which may well be true but I will notice!!

MrsK2B how did you get the M&Ms? I was thinking of doing something like this for our wedding but not sure about cost. Also LOVE the Bridesmaids hair. Very nice.

I know mrsrobsonto be if my oh saw half the stuff I had he would not be happy but its things I'd notice and I'm sure they will think differently when they see it all together on the day.

I have 2 weeks till RSVP date but feel like I want to start nudging people as over half of them haven't RSVP'd. Would it be rude?

I have 4 days until I can chase. It's all Shane's blimming family too!! They will get a card saying if we do t hear from them by a certain date we will assume they can't attend x
