It's been my dream since I was a little girl to have a horse and carriage. I'm a real tom boy now and can't stand anything girly so the wedding is very non-traditional but I didn't want to regret not having the horses so I've booked and paid the deposit.
The thing I'm struggling with though is choosing the horses and carriage colours. They are shire horses and the black ones have the most amazing coats but the brides on 4 weddings keep saying they look like funeral horses! Also, the carriages come in either black with burgandy trim or black with blue trim. With my wedding dress being red, I'm really stuck on what colour carriage I should have. The lady who owns the company said she wouldnt suggest having burgandy as it is a shade of red and you shouldnt mix shades but surely bringing in a whole new colour (blue) would look really strange??

So what do you all think and what colours are you having? Should I just stay traditional and go with white horses and white carriage?

I think the burgandy one as it's more your colour scheme. I think the balck horse & carriage will look really classy too.

I was happy about having black horses until those witches on 4 Weddings kept going on about them!

I really want a horse and carriage to take me to my wedding, but I want the typical fairytale glass type one (If i can't get that i'd want white. But I haven't the foggiest where to get one from.. I'm from rotherham, so if any of you ladies know anywhere near me, I would appreciate if you could post me link on my profile..
    Thanks Roxii x

Roxii, I've put a link on your wall that has a few different comapnys. The first one (Ostler) is the comapny I'm using. They are based in Essex and have white glass carriages. Just check out each website, you should find one that has what you want and can travel to your area xx
