After trying on about 50 dresses and not finding 'the one', I have decided to get one made. There were skirts of dresses I loved but not the top part and vice versa, also I want a subtle blush coloured dress, so finding this was very difficult and didn't want to risk getting any online. So I have met a few times with a lovely dressmaker and designer (her surname is also my future married name so thought that's a good sign!), she 'gets' me totally and sketched a design of an amazing dress exactly how I want! I am meeting with her next week to finalise what fabrics I want (been to textile/fabric warehouses a few times - who knew there were SO many types and colours of different fabrics!!??). Also I have managed to find the perfect colour of the blush underlay :-). It's quite daunting as most of you will have bought your dress and know exactly what it's like, but I have to wait!!! It's quite scary too, but I have total faith in the dressmaker and she said throughout the process she can change/alter any part of the design.
Is there anyone else here who is having or has had their dress bespoke made and were they happy with it? x

There have been a couple here who had theirs made, but they are no longer visitors to the site or I have not seen them in a long time.
