Basically i went to my first wedding fair the other night with my mum and aunty ect , my aunty is also getting married yay so it was a really nice evening and also the suppliers were really nice and easy to chat too :) , but walking around looking at the amount of choices and things to do started to really get me nervous , so when i got home i had a slight panic attack ( i used to have them bad but iv learnt to control them more ) , is it normal to get so nervous planning a wedding to the point of panic attacks :( , in all honesty iv been slightly stressed at work and although i only do 25 hours a week i have to be up at 4am 5 days so i think tiredness sometimes gets the better of me :( ,im also going to Paris in june and i have to get a new passport because mines damaged so that is also in the back of my mind , so has anyone got advice on how to calm down and enjoy the wedding planing experience more :)

Definitely normal, I used to get them and still do from time to time but I find that they are worse when I have lots of things going on! Just try and relax and take time out for you to calm yourself e.g. bath, beautifying or something every few days :) xx

just take a deep breath, you have plenty of time, so do what I did set yourself 1 thing to organise a month (this month is Photographer, last month was cake), starting with venue, which with the time, would not advise to book much till you have 2years as else wedding insurance may not cover you. Just take your time. x

Yeah I'd do what others have said and just relax, have some ''me-time'' you have loads of time (your doing it right really) so don't panic :) just take things slowly, wedding insurance is also a big thing to factor in like someone said above, I wouldn't suggest booking too much until you have that, so until then I'd concentrate on just getting some idea's

I agree with the others. Don't look into the black hole of wedding planning, just break it down into manageable tasks and ask for help xxx

Definitely take a step back. You have enough time so don't worry. Breaking it down is the best way. X

And just remember - the wedding is exactly that - the 2 of you joining together - all the finer details are just extra's to fluff it out. Deep breath hun, write things down and break it all into manageable sections. Would it help to prioritise your list? 1 = essential, 2 = important but not essential, 3 = desireable but not important?? xx

Tackle one thing at a time

    Get your passport done .

Write down what the things are that are stressing you at work ...do you have the power to change any of those points

Do a list of thing to do for the wedding in a time line ( so the things that need to be done earliest first ie venue )

By breaking it all down it makes things more manageable

Yeah I think I need to start lists :) I just have a tendency to procrastinate then panic at the last minute !
Going round to my mums so she can help with my passport forms I think that is bugging me the most at the moment, and the whole being stressed at work I think I'm going to have a sit down with my new manger :)

If it helps, the PO do a check and send service for the passports - costs about £4 or £5 I think xx
