Hi all, I most prob put this in the wrong category but was unsure which one it would be so put in gen.
As many of you know I am doing my save the dates :) and we decided to send the kids in the wedding party little gifts and asking will you be my .... ? We will be sending the girls flower necklaces and the boys something like cufflinks . Suddenly we thought hang on is there an age group for when you are either a flower girl or bridesmaid and pageboy or usher ? When we get married we will be having girls aged 4,5 twin 9 and boys 2 and 10 .
Are there age groups ? Or is it whatever we choose ?

The girls aged 4,5 would be flower girls and the girl 9 would be a junior bridesmaid. The boys are page boy and I would say junior usher/ring bearer maybe? :) x

Thanks :) Ring bearer for the boy sounds good :) One thing we may need to do is get him to walk down aisle with the youngest as she can get shy :)

Pairing them up would be sweet :) I think we might get my cousin to be a page boy if he would like to and get him to carry the rings down the aisle with him and then hand them over/swap them for sweets when he gets to the altar for bribery ;) x

It's variable, and I would say depends on the make-up of the party. It may be that there is an obvious dividing line, where older children need to be treated differently to younger ones. You could make all the girls junior bridesmaids, but I'd say that you could have the younger ones as flower girls. I'd feel that nine is a bit old to be a flower girl. The younger boy would be page boy or ringbearer, but the older one is more tricky. You could actually give him a choice. I would say ten could just about be a page boy but the boy might feel that he's too old, and might prefer junior usher. It would be adorable to have the two little girls with the two year old boy processing together. Maybe the older boy could escort one or both of the nine year old girls down the aisle.
