Just woken up to the headlines this morning to see this article with this picture attached.... I hope I'm not in the minority here but I would have thought that this is totally unacceptable to do at someone's wedding!! I feel so sorry for the bride, the smile maybe there but the eyes betray her upset :(

Wrong place, wrong time!! I think it's rude to be honest - it's the bride and groom's day and it's awful to take the limelight and make it about yourself!

Also to do it right in front of the top table in front of everyone.... Doing it in private and not making a show of it would be different, but that's awful.

I would really be quite livid if that happened at mine, I am so glad my step BIL put my brother straight on not doing it, much as I love my brother, there is a time and a place. When done elsewhere at a more appropriate time it is special for that couple as well.

That is unacceptable at another couples wedding you are crazy I would go bridezilla on his butt! That is not right, he could do that any other time throw a party for their engagement etc not at someone else's special day! I wouldn't be smulininf my face tells it all if in not happy everyone will know about it No hiding my feeling with Me. The bride must feel so compromised she wants to be happy for her friend on her engagement but On her wedding when you and your partner are meant to be the main focus to celebrate your Love I am shocked seeing this Wrong Time Wrong Place would never forgive him for that couldn't he of popped the question the day after or a few days after taking away another brides spotlight is not right that's practically ruining her day all the planning she put into her day to make perfect for her and her partner to be overshadowed by a new engagement!!
I didn't think anyone would think of that would do something like that I've heard it all now!!

I think birthdays are different because they cant help that. just a coincidence.

but to purposely plan to make a big deal about something other than the fact that they are getting married is wrong.

my cousins found out they were having a baby 2 weeks before their brothers wedding but kept it quiet and only told close family until after so as to not take away from them.

id like to know if this/these couples get identified lol. its obviously not a spur of the moment thing, what with him having a ring to hand over. I wonder if it was ok'd beforehand, considering where this is being done? or if it was a shock to all, i would have been mortified if that were me.... well, if i was either woman actually hahahah.
though you never know, they might have all known about it. can't say id agree if someone came to me and said oh hey do you mind if i propose at your wedding?! HELL no, arrange your own expensive as hell surprise engagement party and stop mooching on my expense lol

    Not at the wedding itself!

I got engaged whilst at my friends wedding, we were abroad at the time. But he did it the next day, just me and him. Took me out to dinner to do it.

It's not acceptable to make someone else's day about you.

Yea bdays r dif i just meant a good friend wudnt make your day about them (be it a day they can help or not lol)

Im nt sure what i make of it the more i look at it... bm looks similar to bride (makes no dif rly) but the groom looks pretty ok about it his smile doesnt seem fake where as hers is a bit worse. Cud be they planned it with the bride n groom in which case if rhey agreed then not really much can be said

Theres a post on facebook now but ive not read it to find out if it was pre agreed with bride and groom or not?? Any1 read it?

This is horrendous! Especially RIGHT IN FRONT of the bride and groom!! I mean Jesus. I'm genuinely a little bit worried that my little brother might do something like this with his partner. Waiting to see if they get engaged over the next year and if they don't, I'll be having a chat to make sure it's not his plan. He already wants to do the YMCA during our first dance...

I'd literally tell them to leave. Just like I would anyone over the age of 13 who wears a white dress. Lol.

Don't know how they didn't launch at him. xx

I read the article says nothing about asking the bride and from beforehand and it's just a wedding guest asking his girlfriend to get married everyone is outraged by this and feels for he could from her face this was not part of her wedding day plan it just popped up in front of the top table infront of the bride and grooms they should be removed and stop mooching of of their happiness and well earned money they spent on the day!! Xxx
