just measured myself for a supposedly 'custom made' dress which im in love with on line and they wont do it in my size </3 its THE dress do you guys think its ok to take the pictures and have the dress copied? it was only £30 so i dont want to end up spending hundreds of pounds on it but there is no way ill be able to lose the weight (or a boob) to fit into the size they go upto :'(

Hmmm, do you mean take it to a local dress maker to copy? It will be expensive but if your heart is set on it hun, maybe you'll get away with it. How many dress sizes smaller is it to your current size? If you have 2 years to go that is an extremely long time if you're losing weight!

Have you tried looking for other suppliers that sell the same thing online? When I was on ebay looking I found that despite it being the exact same dress some sellers had different sizes available.
I would think that having it custom made in this country would be quite expensive unless you know someone who could do it for you.
Otherwise you could always look for or place an ad online on one of the free sites looking for someone who does things like that, if its not a boutique or a big supplier, then you may be able to get it done cheaper.
    Good luck!

Honestly. My experiences of online dress makers has even really negative. Neither dress has fit. It may be worth trying an alternative anyway.

I am guessing that the dress you would have ordered wouldnt actually be the picture you saw anyway for £30 hun. These tend to be china copies but they are naughty and use the designers pictures, however the actual dresses very rarely imitate the dress pictured. If you made it over here it would probably cost you £300+ unless you know a good seamstress who would do it for you for less, but I doubt you will get it for £30 because the material and fastenings alone would cost more than this. The only reason china dress makers can charge this little is because they are payed pennies for their labour and for this price the material wouldn't be a very good quality. So you may have actually had a lucky escape by not being able to get it in the size you need. I hope you can sort something out though xxx

i agree with the girls. 30 pounds isnt a lot, and sometimes its worth spending a bit more in the long run. xx

I am so happy you found someone to make it.....it is a seriously gorgeous dress! what colour lace are you going for? I have seen this dress before and they do the lace in black, gold, purple and I think I saw one with lilac lace too. all very gorgeous.

Can you send me a link to it please? I would like a gold tulle one with black lace.
