I wouldn't worry, if your original cake maker has worked with them for 8 years I'd say they were on the same wavelength. But you should definitely ask for a tasting. I'd even ask if it could be for free due to the change over.

The worst they can say is no, and you have to pay for a tasting. But if you're not happy with them, you should be refunded as your original contract is not with them.

I think you'll be fine though, she trusts them and they sound like they have the experience.

sounds like they have plenty of experience so im sure it will be fine, i would deffo have an appointment before you planned it, just to iron out any worries x

OMG! Donna i really wanted fireworks, but we cant have them as our venue doesn't allow them, im kinda gutted as i love them, it will be beautiful, you will love it :)

I took the infinity dress around one of the bridesmaids house for her to try on & it looked awful, it made her look pregnant. Gutted as I really liked it on myself & thought it would suit all of them :(
So it looks like were sticking to the original dress but I've ordered some fabric swatches as I don't like the colour we have. Then I just need to decide wether to pay the extra for made to measure or just order in the standard size & have it taken in locally!!

Yeah I know Donna, we will when we get there :) Oh is real,y looking forward to it. In one breath he was saying well go, and then when I was doubting it he said well tbh I'd rather save the money for our proper honeymoon anyway. But now it's booked he could probably see with excitement haha. I knew he didn't mean it lol.

I like the idea of a boudoir shoot, however I know oh opinion of them, he thinks there a waste of time as he says why do I need a pic when I can look at the real thing. :(

Thanks everyone we have decided to have the tasting earlier chances are we will stick with them but the cakes need to taste amazing.

April I know it expensive but you don't do it often. Enjoy when it comes.

Donna we were looking at fireworks too, still thinking about them we were going to do them during the buffet break at 10pm, only thing my friend said to me was its never very dark in August for them.

Got florist appointments in 20 minutes, menu tasting this evening and our cathedral meeting in the morning with another florist in the afternoon.... It's going to be a busy 24hr period!! x

Emailed the cake lady back she phoned me and has put me at ease a bit more they ladies taken over are still using the same bakery and one of the ladies has done my cake. We are now going in to finalise things and final tasting on 21st March

Just finished at our first florist - Young lady seems very nice and is also based about 5 doors from my parents house so a big tick there as there will be no delivery charge. Also going to do decor for the civil ceremony too! Currently sat in Costa before we go onto the next to pick up an email saying our wedding co ordinater is leaving next month! Fabulous :(

Oh godness thats just what you need, I would get hold of them asap, to find out if they have organised a replacement and to ensure a seemless handover, and the new one gets all the info to make your day special.

I just showed my grandma and she loves it too! Apparently she will go through everything before she leaves...

Just got back from our venue and omg was the food amazing! Definitely made the right choice there and we got a meal each for each course rather than one :)

Had our meeting at the cathedral..... The dean is so cool!!! We are able to have everything we want and more, I can't wait :D So relieved as well cos I was so nervous beforehand that I was quite ill enroute!

MrsHurren - I think going away the weekend before the wedding is a great idea, spend some quality time together once everything is finalised and paid for. What happened to your other 2 dresses?

Teresa - A good hair dresser should be able to stye your har with curls that last all day/night

Teresa, I've got quite bright red hair too, and it was cut too short last year by a useless hairdresser. It's growing back, but won't be quite as long as I'd hoped. I'm going for a semi up do (twisted at the sides) .
Similar to Gwyneth Paltrow in stardust but with a few strands left down and curled at the sides.



Not sure it will suit me, but I love it, going for my trial end of March. P!nterest have loads of hair ideas for all lengths, you can even choose which colours to view.
