Wedding Forum - 2015 BRIDES share ideas, plans etc here!...

My OH had a wedding nightmare a few days ago, but it was similar to one I'd had last week where we had forgotten to sign the register and just walked out of the ceremony too early!

In my old church they were normally on the Thursday before the Wedding for Saturday weddings. They didn't do many on other days of the week so not sure if its any different

MrsK2b, it's not just my OH then? Haha. I had one a couple of weeks ago, in mine my dress was wrong, my hair didn't get done and people talked through the ceremony xx

To save any embarrassment we didn't do gifts during speeches. We gave gifts out personally before the wedding.

All gifts were an item to wear with their wedding outfits and keepsake. Eg necklaces, cufflinks, bracelets etc.

That's what I wanted to do Leasa but H2B is adamant that we have to give gifts during the speeches, I really don't want to!!
I wanted short & sweet speeches, giving out gifts takes forever....yawn!!

I really really want to embarrass our wedding last by giving out gifts.

Well it's today and been waking up every couple hours worrying I've over slept, but now I have given up. I'm so excited for the day ahead. I'm like a kid at Christmas.
My lashes are all in place.
I'm so looking forward to seeing Adam stood waiting for me.
And seeing all our familys together.

We won't get our rehearsal date for a while, as the vicar is away. So think we'll be booked in last minute. I have a feeling it will have to be on Thursday if it's evening or Wednesday if they can do during the day.

I can't believe how many people do it, I don't think you'd notice on the day as a bride or care much really, but it is rude

hey ladies Back from our minimoon in london.
Our day was perfect, but it all went way to quick, could of done with an extra hour or 2 in the day to fit it all in.

woke up at 7, and went on fb for a while till the others woke. decided to have the mindset of whatever happens i would not stress.
went up the restraunt for a lush breakfast of salmon royal.
then back to mums, for hair and makeup. then got into my dress, we wanted a hour to get me into it, but ended up being 30mins, so my mum was stressing a bit, but managed to calm her, and the photographer lady was lovely and helped my mum a bit.
went outside to do photos. then into the car to the venue. arrived early apparently although i thought we were late so sat in car.
then got out some more pics, then upstairs to meet the registra before ceremony, where my mum realised there was some oil from the car or something on my dress, but did not let it stress me.

went down stairs ready for the ceremony, we all lined up ready for the ceremony, thats when the first wave of OMG hit me, the music started and had to hold my breath to hold back tears. all the girls went out infront then it was mine and mums turn, although we realised at the last second my veil was not down so was a frantic couple secs getting it in place.
then we walked. when we turned to go down the ailse, adam was there smiling down at me, and could feel my eyes welling.

mum handed me over, took my flowers and lifted my veil, the whole way through the ceremony i could hardley get my words out, when it came to my personal vows i could broke and tears came about. the ceremony was perfect.
and then it was all over, signed the register and we were married and walked back down the ailse and husband and wife.

then i could breath. was weird like nothing had changed , which i supposed it has not, just one tiny thing.

the sun shone and was beautiful, Izzy our DD after the ceremony turned into a right horrible windge monster, due to lack of sleep the night before and had a cold. but mum and co delt with her, i hope photographer got some nice pics.:S

food was lush, i hardley drank anything 3 glasses, then went to soft drinks as i did not need it as was having so much fun.

speeches were lovely.

and our first dance went really well, the band were a hit.

Right, I'm breathing..... I'm not gunna get mad.

I'm about to go on my crosstrainer and my fiance said he'd sort all the gifts while I was upstairs... I get this is a bit bridezilla-ish but I asked him to wait as I thought that might be a nice thing to do together. Anyway as I'm sat having my coffee he's brought it all down and is talking about how he needs to sort it all into different piles!!!!!

How come I get shafted with all the crap jobs and even when I ask him to hold off he gets a nice one? If he does anything wrong I'm gunna have to really hold my tongue.... GAH

Congrats to all recent brides, sorry not been online as got married 11th July then back in work 3 days later and been working overtime loads! Roll on honeymoon in October :)

I got back from honeymoon last week and everyone I know on here seems to have gone quiet?

There were a lot of us married off last month so we've lost quite a few! I still drop in most days but don't post much! The honeymoon looked AMAZING Leasa, you are very lucky!

Leasa, that's exactly how nights make me feel, and it takes me ages to get over doing a night shift lol

Cath, just got bits of things to sort now mainly the gifts! Oh and I need to spray mirror frame for our table plan and gem the heels of my wedding shoes.
Think my biggest stress is going to be sorting seating plan .

Loved seeing the pics you guys have posted on here, get me excited about our day when I look at other peoples wedding pics xx

Debbie your day will be magical. I cant wait until our honeymoon, first though we need to move into our new house which will be in the next couple of weeks, get settled and then we go to St Lucia on 19th November for 10 nights to an couples only All inclusive resort :)

I am in a bit of a predicament where baies are concerned if im honest... i have 2 boys (7 & 5), we just got married after 8years, hubby wants to own a house next... but I cant help but dream/daydream about how much i want a little girl. The thing is... I know that I would be happy with which ever came first (house or baby) but i dont think hubby would. we didnt try for the 2 we have, they just kind of happened despite 2 forms of contraceptive.... but now since my pill changed after youngest... i havent had periods since & we havent even had a "pregnancy scare" since. But i really want a little girl....

so long as im not like my aunt Kate... 5 boys, then a girl, another boy then another girl.... My issue is that my 2 boys nearly killed me (I was told at 16 i couldnt have kids due to issues with my ovaries etc) fell pregnant at numerous times by accident but lost, then fell pregnant again with my eldest, had 2 confirmed miscarriages whilst pregnant with him, ended up with eclampsia & a disappearing heartbeat for both me & eldest & an emergency section. lost the next one. then was allergic to my youngest & due to issues with monthlies I ended up being forced to carry an extra 2 months (they wouldnt believe me when i told them the date of conception, they insisted to estimate from last monthly & my waters dont break on their own).... but like i say not even a scare since.... iv already been told if i want another it has to be my last :( & has to be another section due to recurring issues i have with my pregnancies :( im only 28 so iv got a few years yet....

Babies are next on our agenda, we hope.
I'm really scared though, after 4 miscarriages and not a single hint of a late monthly for 9 years.
Drs haven't proved very helpful, and hubby is 50 now so we are a bit anxious (which doesn't help for healthy conceiving)

Iam in a similar predicament, we are very lucky to have our son 6 I almost dies during an emergency section but ive also had 2 ectopic pregnancies the 2nd i was minutes away from dying (I am not exaggerating had I not been in hospital when I as I wouldn't be here so thankful to the consultants fast thinking and saving my life).

I still have one tube and both ovaries and I can still have babies but the risk of ectopic increases everytime I have one so we are at the stage of saying its really not worth the risk our ds needs a mum more than a sibling and if the worst would happen I doubt hubby would cope with work and childcare etc.

It pains me so much when i think ill never have another baby but im lucky and grateful to have the one i do have as some ladies arent fortunate enough to have any babies.

I am currently still on my pill and will decide once and for all after christmas.
