Yep Im a 2015 bride too! Ive had a lot of "omg why so long" and "come back in a few years" which is really annoying but doing things this way has actually benefitted us hugly already!!! Especially booking the venue last year which sured the prices! :-) I love planning all the little bits that we wouldnt have been able to afford if we had had it sooner! Which is one reason we decided to postpone so long so we could still get exactly what we want for the day but not have to scrimp and save to do it which wouldnt have been fair to the kids

We got engaged Sept 2011 but hoping to get married 19th July 2015

We got engaged on Christmas Day just past, and still have no idea when we can afford to get married! Probably 2015, but possibly earlier if we can get away with it (just come into an inheritance so trying to decide whether to use it or not). Only downside is we can't agree on a date! I always dreamed of a winter wedding, and he quite fancies a summer lol.
Met 22 Oct 2012
Got engaged 22 March 2014
Becoming Mrs. Easter 5th November 2016!
Bonfire Bride! :D

So as the date we had finally figured recently seems to be a little thrown and more than possibly isn't going to happen (see whole other rantee thread), I thought I would join this one so as not to annoy everyone with my soon to become almost obsessive 'what do you think of this doohickee idea?' posts lol. The date I am working to at the moment is Thursday, 4th June 2015. So anyway.. Wavies from me :-D
CommentAuthorMo
I went dress shopping at the weekend! I know so early, but really they don't change unless you go for an over the top! Found 3 dresses I like!
CommentAuthordevilspartner
i'm jumping at the bit to go dress shopping, but made a pact with myself not to go until i had lost weight. Got a far bit to go so will probably go shopping next year xx

Have to admit, part of me is really looking forward to the whole finding the right dress and all that. But, there is a bigger part that is dreading it for a few reasons. 1) Am terrible at picking things that suit me (others yes, me nope) and tend to get really frustrated when I can't. even if it takes hours, days, weeks, months type thing. So I know possibly in the end I will just go 'that will do.. hrumph!' 2) We are having a pretty simple wedding and I don't want anything too ostentatious but I also want to feel special. Have considered maybe having 2 dresses - would that be daft? 3) Then there is the fact that I don't have anyone to go with me when I start looking and trying on things. As it stands my family aren't really going to be part of our day, so my mum and sister won't be there to help me choose. His mum is very ill and can't really be traipsing about lots of shops. His 21 year daughter, who is going to a bridesmaid is in her final year at school and is working 2 jobs so has literally hardly any time for her boyfriend let alone that kind of thing at the moment. I have a couple of friends who have known me for 20+ years but what with life, work and family - one has 4 children - so we don't really get to connect with each other more than a few times a year to catch up and have a giggle. The only one who really gets my oddness with outfits (other than my 10 year old son lol) is Ash, would it be weird to take them to choose my wedding dress? 4) Oh and the fact I want to lose some weight and get back to how I was before I busted my knee lol

glad to see im not the only impatient b2b, i wish we had the money to do it sooner but i guess we have more time to plan which hopefully means I will get everything exactly how we want it :D has everyone got venues booked? x

we got engaged a couple of weeks ago however H2B brother proposed to his GF a few months before that and they plan to get married in 2014 I didnt think it was appropriate to have 2 family weddings in the same year and can't afford to do it next year so rather grudgingly we are having to wait until 2015 on the plus side its another 12 months to save I guess - but I really just want to get started organising and stuff but people dont seem to take us seriuosly cos its so far of but I am sure 2 1/2 years will fly by. I am desperate to book our venue this year. I had an email from a venue who got my detaild from this site I said we would be interested but not looking to to wed until 2015 was it too early to view and disucuss cost he said not all so emailed back asking when and now I havent heard back im abit gutted should I ring them ?? xx
CommentAuthordevilspartner
I would definately ring them xx

My planning seems to have stopped over the last 2 months because of the kids birthdays but the 3rd and final one is on Sunday so hoping to get back into the swing of it after that :-)
Hows every one getting on?

We are getting married Jan 2015... Seems like forever away. I've been going into bridal shops and all I get is 'Oh come back in a year.' and sometimes even longer than that. Does anyone else think it's really unfair that they are funny with you if you say a long date??? I just want to be organised but nobody is wanting to let me be, lol xxx
CommentAuthorstarbabe78
hi jemma i got that when i started looking at dresses some where ok but a few made me feel intimidated that i was looking this early so i just told them a diff date like a year or summit they dont really need to no the exact date untill you want to order a dress. x
CommentAuthorfloatee
I have to say I agree that when it comes to telling the date it can be a bit off putting when people start making the 'oh we aren't dealing with that time-frame yet' or 'come back in a year or so' it starts to get a bit, well narkee!! Makes a person just wanna yell do you realise how quick the time goes.. Sheesh! Have said to a few places when trying to get some prices or details or anything really that the date is not set in stone and could be sooner (which is not a total fib for us tbh).
As far as the planning goes for me, have stalled a bit. It is amazingly hard to find things that are within our colour scheme (rainbows & roses) and not be either actual rainbows pictures, be really child like or (and no offence on this) look a bit gay pride-ish. We are having a fairly small ceremony and reception afterwards so want subtle and not over-powering. Is becoming a tad frustrating.
Ash has said he wants the guys in light but not wishy-washy coloured waistcoats, ideally multi-coloured as that would be 'kewl'. Lordees, he is the greatest.

Our wedding is on June 2013...we got engaged 3 months ago and we decided to get married in Italy, since it seems a daunting prospect for us, we hired a local wedding planner!!!

We are going to be November 28th 2015 - both want a winter wedding and hopefully may snow!! Just emailed THE venue with the provisional date as they only have prices up to 2014, I did ask 'can you see it increasing anymore than 5%' and was told no so this would still be in our budget, now just waiting for them to come back with prices! I am now going to hand make all the invites which will test my patience so a good job that the wedding is so far off - and I have found some shoes for £10!!!!
CommentAuthorLoz
we were gonna get married on 6th sept 2014 our 7th anniversary but with our daughters birthday only 5 days before we changed it to 27th june 2015 seems so long away but when working out the budget it sometimes feels too soon lol x
CommentAuthorstarbabe78
Falkette your getting married on my birthday. :-) x
CommentAuthorFalkette
A good day to pick then Starbabe78!! Hoping for a little bit of snow as where the venue is set the views will look stunning esp with a winter mist! Good job I love the winter but I know CBM was hoping I change to summer she hates the cold and is already dreading the temperatures
CommentAuthorstarbabe78
haha yea the winter wedding scene does look amazing on photos altho i hate the cold aswell which is why i've opted for a summer wedding altho living in england don't mean we guaranteed sunshine, im sure your CBM wont even have time to think about the cold she be too busy. x

Hi all, I have bookmarked this thread & I'm so glad I'm not the only impatient b2b. As I've said already we are going to get engaged at Christmas & I want to get married on the 2 may 2015, seems ages away but need the time for savings. As soon as I am officially engaged I'm definately going to email the venue I want & hope & pray there isn't someone more organised than me that has got in ahead of me. I also can't wait to get trying on & picking my dress. I'll have to tell a wee fib about the date then cause I think I'd cry if they told me to go away & come back in a year!! :)

I'm looking at 2015 for our wedding now, we ended up cancelling our date for next year, due to me being a stress head mostly lol, worrying about the price of having what we want and admitting it was all a bit too much. My h2b is the guy I want to be with so we have pushed ahead and started really saving.. Our anniversary falls on a Saturday in 2015 so it may be fate after all :D xx
