Hmmmm, well given what a disaster my wedding ring has turned out, I think I'll make an appointment and see what we can get!

Did you have to mention anything about the freebies or do they just tell you?

Yeah, we've just been reading it all! Best of all, you get up to 3 bm gifts and how many do we have? 3 so that's ideal! Shame we hadn't seen this before buying our bm gifts a couple months ago lol but oh well, they get another one so I'm sure they will be ok with that ;) it's worth it just for the gifts anyway like you say!

I'm getting no where losing weight either Amanda so not much help. I try to follow ww but don't go to a class, just got the stuff and do it from home.

SW is amazing Amanda, I used to do it and lost 2 stone on it. I keep trying to follow it at home but I'm rubbish and have had no will power lately. I'm thinking after Christmas I'll try again at home on my own and failing that I'll join my group again in Feb, I'm hoping that after Christmas I'll realise how close the wedding is and really kick myself into shape diet wise.


Just booked a Christmas concert and afternoon tea at our venue for this Sunday, just me and my fiancé. I'm so excited. It's quite expensive, works out £40 but we aren't doing anything Christmassy this year other then going away at Christmas, whereas we normally have loads of Christmas things on, like going to different fayres.

Think we have decided on gifts for everyone at the wedding now as well. We have seen a lovely tankard for his Dad, which we will have engraved, nice champaign flutes for the mums, jam jars for the ushers, best man and my brother, wine glasses for the bridesmaids and my sister and mums partner (all engraved or painted) then bridesmaids and mums have a little owl candle and a compact mirror as well (which we are getting gift bags for) best man we are getting a T-Shirt and a mug as well... all the men are also getting cufflinks. We are considering getting everyone a bottle of drink, either full or miniature not decided yet, but we will decide on that closer to the time as even just the glasses for everyone add's up.

Just had our venue and registrar confirmed! At least the actual 'marriage' bit is sorted YAY :D xz

Smooch are good and very friendly I have ended up with the perfect 3bridal set all made around my engagement ring h2b choose for me he really had a good eye

I've heard very bad things about them but like the idea of free gifts ;)

Unfortunately we have a budget to stick to so mass produced products it is for us. They will be grateful regardless as it's the thought that counts.

Oooo, very exciting for you Vicki! What else have you got left to do? I hope we can see a sneaky picture from your photoshoot :) What did you decide for your menu? We are going for our tasting sometime in the new year so we are very excited about that!

Leasa - Do you have a referal code for the place you are talking about? I'm looking at making an appointment as my engagement ring doesnt fit due to having kids & it cant be resized due to a double line of engraving & no gap enough to open the ring up a bit. H2B said he doesnt mind if I get a new one... But when we got our wedding rings from a different company a few years back now the referal code we had gave us and friends that used it money off our order (our friends get discount for being refered & we got discount for refering someone)

yeh i ordered from a different company however my referal code gave £100 off to the person i refered & £50 off to me every ti,e i refered someone that bought.

But like I say am looking at replacing my engagement ring so figured if you have a referal code it could work out better for us both

My dress is in but after an argument with the shop (who said I can't see it until my fitting is due in March!) I can't get the time off work to go try it on :-(

Leasa I cant believe the bridal shop said you wont be able to see it until your fitting, that is uncalled for in my opinion, it is your dress after all. my dress should be in store by April and said she would call me as soon as it arrives. I cant wait, i was just thinking in about 8 weeks I will be sending out the invites and then full steam ahead with putting all the planning in place

Going to meet the new venue co-ordinator tomorrow :D So excited! Big list of things to talk about, and looks like the per person price has gone down so hopefully will be able to save around £600! Fingers crossed!

As put on the main forum, the cathedral confirmed that we can have a blessing service after our civil ceremony! Yay! x

Civil ceremony is at midday and the blessing is at 2pm so we are obviously going to have to be up a lot earlier **cringe** but it will work. Guests-wise it will only be bridal party, parents and grandparents so there's less people to sort in that sense!

Just had confirmation emails back from our photographer and the car company confirming they are all happy with the venue changes so that's something positive. Arranged to finally meet our videographer in a couple of weeks as we still haven't met her since booking in April but she's a similar age to us and we really get on well so that shouldn't be a problem - just want to get to know her a bit and go through everything she'll be doing on the day!

Got a concert to play for this afternoon so I've been awake unnaturally early so I can practice, feeling awful though as our best friend was stranded in Ramsgate last night after he missed the last train so we had to traipse over to get him at 1am.... Matchsticks where are you?!

Met the new coordinator today and she was fabulous. Went through updates since the last time we met the previous coordinator and put together a timeline for the day. Also made sure various rooms and the honeymoon suite is booked for us yay. It was nice to sit down and go through everything we have planned so far, and be able to picture it all coming together :)

Meet with the new manager of our venue in just under an hour..... speaking with him over the phone i have to say i dont think much of him but lets see if it changes lol

I think we have found our rings, we had a lady from smooch over yesterday, just to have a look but both saw rings which were very different to what we've already seen and we really liked them. So thinking on it for a little bit but think we'll be going for them :D

Well see my planning thread for details but lets just sy my h2b now has the same opinion!

Oh my goodness, saying it like that sounds scary April!! :O
