Think we have 5 and a half months left :) it'll be all on the go as soon as Christmas is over! I've never wished Christmas away so quickly, I love the run up to give my nieces their presents :)

We've thought about having Disney couples for tables instead of numbers. I've always beenset on numbers but really want my love of Minnie mouse included somehow, but didn't want it to look tacky. What do you all think?
That sounds really cute April. On the piney site there's some cool ideas. I prefer table names over numbers.

I Managed to pin h2b down to help with guest list last weekend so we ordered the invitations this week. We had a rough idea of numbers before but turns out we are closer to 100 than the initial 80 we thought. This won't cost us anymore though as we were charged an under 100 supplement which means we can go up without paying more.
He also surprised me today by booking the car

Our invite lady has been in a big theatre show so hasn't been doing any work for a few months and won't be until December, so have to wait until January to properly sort out invites :)

Wow Elizabeth 120 invites!! how many people are you inviting?? We were stuck for a long time on wether to invite kids other than our own kids, nieces & nephews, we have finally decided not to invite them. This took our guest list from 130 down to 90, so we have added 10 of our good friends to the list to round it upto 100. Our halls maximum seated capacity is 120 when utilizing all space, so hopefully now we'll have plenty of room & I can stop panicking about trying to squeeze 130 in.

We have about 80 people during the day (need 52 invites) and the rest is evening invites our capacity for meal is 120 and 180 in evening.
I think its still a fantastic price for invites my sister has just paid £4 each for her invites

we are having 65 people for the start and the meals (the meals are costing £90 per person) so wanted to just have the people that we really want at that part then an extra 30 people for evening part and they are £23.95 per person for the evening food for them xx

The variance in costs is mad across the country isn't it! Our meals are £45 and £12 evening buffet. £12 children's meals too. We're north east.

Our meal is £60 including arrival drinks, toast drinks and 1/2 bottle wine with dinner
Childrens are £22.50 (or there abouts) including Apple juice on arrival, 2 sift drinks with meal and apple juice for the toast.

I'm Having to pay London prices! Our venue is £73 per person, child or adult, and the evening buffet is £16 pp.
But we get a lot for our money, that includes welcome drink of prosecco and champagne to toast, 3 course meal with water tea coffe,table decorations and centre prices, chair covers and sashes, place cards, table plan, guest book and bridal suite with champagne in the room. Plus an anniversary dinner the following year.
We removed the dj and wine as we wanted to supply our own or it would have been £83 pp. corkage is £200 for 10 cases of wine.
Other places we looked at in London were more expensive for smaller packages, so we think we did well!

£73 even for a child?! Jeeees, eyes back lol? Sounds like you've done well though considering. We pay extra for the drinks package but think its about £13. We get 50 included in our package and just pay those individual prices for the extra guests. We only have 4 children too so not a problem really.

Ours is just over £75 a head with everything included but should be less than that if we have a few drop outs! Kids aged 3 and under eat for free though thank god!

We are getting there now! Just the finer details to work out now. I think we'll be hibernating for the next few months to make sure it all gets done!
We picked up the sample for our invites yesterday and it's brilliant. Only a few little tweaks that need doing to it and hopefully ready to send out at the end of November/beginning of December.

We have a package, but kids under 5 are free, under 12 half price, and extras over our 30 people package are £32 each, and that's for 3 course meal, welcome drink, wine etc with meal and sparkling for meal , chair covers and evening platters.

I am waiting on DIY bits to arrive so we can make a start on our invites, looking at about 55 for the day and an additional 35 for the evening. I'm hoping I won't miss my dining room too much when the crafting begins...
One of my fBiL's had me and H2B in tears last night. He is in the RAF and was told that he will be going on tour next year and the provisional dates he was given all meant he would miss our wedding day. He called last night to let us know that he has been offered an early deployment which means he will be home in time for the wedding (as long as he does go on that time and there are no changes/prolongments to his tour)! We were both so shocked as we had just started getting our heads around him not being there and now he will be! Then he started rubbing in how great a tan he will have as he will be based in Cyprus...less tears then.
Oh, and I got ID'd as well, which was lovely 'cause I'm 28 in 2 weeks time! Good Sunday!

I received a candle in the post today its went from a potential wedding favour to a definite wedding favour for the woman. whisky miniatures for the men :)

Thanks cath. Elizabeth? (Anything shorter i can call you? Liz? Beth?make sure with your venue they will allow the minitures fur favours, some venues don't show in alcohol in for outside. Our favours are chocolate truffle's hand made by my fbil. He did them for their wedding and are lush x

Oh I remember your caricaturist I think its a fab idea, i can get the ladies favours for just £2.25 each Im waiting to get a price for the whiskey a friend of a friend works in the factory so gets good deals.
I checked with the venue if they allowed alcohol favours and they said it was fine. We went round in circles for our favours we thought about making tablet but have since decided against it to make it easier for us (Oh is a perfectionist and doesn't trust anyone else to do it. I don't fancy him making table2 days before the wedding incase he messes it up or gets stressed).
