Wedding Forum - 2015 BRIDES share ideas, plans etc here!...

My MOH's (I have Maid and Matron of Hons) and BM asked me what sort of thing I would NOT like to do. So I said absalutely no pub crawling, strippers or nightclubs. Just not my thing.

I quite like the idea of rock wall climbing, archery, target shooting, visiting a chocolatier or even just spending a day in a relaxing spa being made a fuss of.

I'm 24 now ladies and even my stomach churns and fills me with dread at the thought of going to clubs/pubs and having a stripper so don't worry, you're not alone and it's not just the older ones amongst you that hates it! Not that 35 is old, just older than me obviously lol.

We used to joke about being nuns for a hen do, and I have a feeling my chief bridesmaid is going to implement the idea for my hen. Not sure how I feel about this!

Thanks Victoria, Have you ordered your BM's dresses yet. I have had a few friends that have ordered from there and they have been perfect. It is chiffon so would still be light and floaty xx

Meet up with my girls today, they all got on. We have agreed that once summer is over will meet in Exeter to look at the make up and go and try the style of dresses I like to see if they feel comfortable with them or if they will want a slip under when we make them , one of my BMS are going to have a look at prices at for the Cardiff hen doo then can she who want to come/can afford it, or else can come Plymouth/Torquay hen. Hoping with it being organised nearly a year before more people will be able to budget £10/15 per month to come.

That's not too bad a price for invites though.
We'll have to do the same, some (elder generation) family members expect the traditional stuff like posted invitations.
Although I do like to receive them too.

Hey ladies having a really tough time with the wedding planning lately mainly including bridesmaids and dresses but I can't go into detail just trust me it's a whopper! Also just been stressing a lot lately. Gemma that dress is lovely, and as for hen parties (yet another stress it's so hard to get money out of people!) mines in liverpool in march x

I've found a cheaper alternative to the jimmy choos, shop only had 1 pair in my size and the right one was a bit tatty as it was on display, so going shopping with moh tomorrow in Central London to look for them (kurt Geiger).

I've got major panda eyes this morning despite using half a bottle of make up remover and washed my face 3 times.
That boudoir make up was layered on thick!

I actually had idea for table plans today by having our fave things so if there 10 tables we each pick our fave show or sport team etc so thinking getting something like a big fishbowl or cage and bottom part having rose heads and then in middle an item of fave item to do with table name .
Hope that makes sense as when I described to H2B he looked very confused lol

1 year too go, i can't believe it.

No we just got the cards and envelopes from the bay. We've had to buy individual envelopes for the RSVPs but they are too big but can't find anything smaller :/

Don't panic!

I know how you feel though, we just had a week off work and were spending our wedding money like crazy.
I got my shoes, and we've booked the bridesmaids in for fittings, I got part of his morning prezzie sorted.

We were supposed to arrange to visit the venue to ask some questions and make a start on invites...neither of those things got done, the time disappeared so quickly.

After spending I started to feel panicked that we won't have enough for everything.

Plus we are going to Cyprus for his cousins wedding in October, could have done without the expense of that, we had to pay for his mum and dad as well as they are on pension and couldn't afford to go. Only for his dad to pipe up after we paid for passports, flights and accommodation for them, that he now doesn't want to go!

I'm furious

Went on to vi$ta and searched for hearts and just edited the wording. That's for 30 save the dates and invites, 50 evening, 50 oos and 30 rsvps xxx

The band we want are being a nightmare at communication. I guess sometimes I forget people have other things to do except organise my wedding ;)

I dont understand why wedding supplier can only be contacted between 9-5pm can you not send an email and they will get back to you during office hours?
