BRIDAL FACTORY OUTLET!
In 2009 after 32 years Jill Pitchers sold her wedding business in Middlesbrough and looked forward to her retirement and looking after her first grandchild.
But her retirement was to be a short one after the recession struck and several wedding businesses ceased trading, she found herself being contacted by many concerned brides about being left with no dress and no chance of their money back, asking if she could help them.
Jill was asked to help them out by using her 32 years experience and her contacts within the trade to try and source wedding gowns at a reasonable cost and short notice.
To the relief of those contacting her she was able to arrange replacement wedding gowns within the time limits and budgets.
Shortly after this Jill was approached by one of the manufacturers who had helped out. He wanted to expand on what Jill had done and with his friends and contacts within the bridal manufacturing circles, wanted to offer to the public excess stock, prototypes and cancelled dress orders.
Jill agreed on one condition, that she could do it her way by bringing in the American outlet idea into the British market creating new experience to the bridal customer and creating a more welcoming and relaxed atmosphere with plenty of room and choice.
Customers would be able to come into the showroom and either help themselves to dresses available off the peg or ask for assistance from the experienced staff on hand or order on line.
And so the Bridal Factory Outlet was born and all who have been through the doors have gasped in amazement at the amount of stock Jill carries with over 600 wedding gowns and over 400 Prom and bridesmaids gowns with more arriving daily.
Everyone comments on how wonderful it is to be able to wander around with plenty of choice, space and time to contemplate that special dress and even a relaxing sitting area where you can have a cup of tea, coffee or even a glass of champagne while you watch the dresses being tried on and modelled or you just take the weight off your feet.
Jill has only been open a short time but already the feedback is positive with comments such as “It’s so comforting to know that after finding and falling in love with a gown you can buy and take it straight away without the worry about delivery dates and that the shop will still be there in 6 months time.”

at Northallerton Standard Way Business Park.

Opening times are Wednesday to Saturday 10am -5pm and Sunday 11am – 4pm
