When planning a wedding, there are so many aspects to consider, such as where will you get married, where will you have the reception, and of course, how will you even get there?
There are so many possibilities, but not for long… That is if the Government has its way.
As we all know, weddings are costly enough, but a new proposal from the Government will push the cost of a wedding up even further. This could mean that many brides can no longer afford to get married, or have the wedding they’ve always dreamt of.
And all of this because of the Private Hiring Legislation Provisional Proposal No.11, which states:
‘Weddings and funerals should no-longer be expressly excluded from private hire licensing through primary legislation.’
This means vintage wedding car companies will have to pay a substantial amount of money in order to obtain a special license, usually only required by taxis and public transport. This is likely to send many wedding transport companies out of business, and those who struggle on will have to increase their prices, making the hire of their stunning and iconic British cars extremely expensive.
