Whilst there's nothing wrong with being fixated on that fabulous frock, we advise that you spare a thought for the simple shoe amidst your bridal brainstorming! Cheap wedding shoes should certainly be up there on your to-do list!

After all, as we well-know, it's a combination of the ethereal elements — the dream dress, the bridal shoes, and the accessories — which will warrant the wedding wow-factor!

Here at UKbride HQ, we're strong believers that cheap wedding shoes are paramount to your perfect day, so whether you're looking for a hot deal on the High Street, busting your budget in a bridal boutique, or exploring your options online, follow our top tips for picking a prime pair!

First and foremost, co-ordination is crucial! Whilst some brides opt to match the fabric of their wedding gown with their shoes, a contrast can be equally eye-catching. Ensure you find the perfect match by taking your shoes to dress fittings, and carrying a fabric swatch with you when focusing on your footwear.

Secondly, adhere to the rule less is more... and more is less! If you've got an extravagant dress, complement it with simple shoes, or if you're wearing a plainer piece be bold and make a statement with your wedding shoes.

Thirdly, wear them in girls! Let's face it — blood, blisters, and bunions are three things a bride should never have to encounter on her big day! Whilst you might adhere to the expression 'no pain no gain', your wedding day should be an enjoyable and comfortable experience, which you want to remember for all the right reasons!

Perfect Pins — want to know what will best complement a knee length dress? Think sky high — this will elongate your legs and flatter your silhouette. In contrast, a lower heel with a closed pointed toe will serve as a continuation of the elegance of a full length gown.

Top tip number five — stick to a heel height that you're used to! Whether you're familiar with flats or hot to trot in heels, it is extremely important that you can walk out with confidence as all eyes are on you!

Swim, don't sink! Narrow heeled pale satin shoes don't bode well with grass, or sand! If you're going to be spending your day meeting and greeting on the lawn, or strolling along a beautiful beach, opt for flats or even wedges. Get additional support with an ankle strap to avoid an unexpected trip!

Our seventh tip — don't be left in the shade! As with all fabrics, colours will vary depending on whether the light source is natural or artificial, so make sure that you've looked at your cheap wedding shoes in an assortment of environments.

Put your dancing shoes on! Your first dance is one of the foremost things you'll enjoy together as husband and wife, so put your best foot forward and consider taking the floor in a more practical pair.

Match the quality of your gown; although many consider shoes a lesser expense, you should actually expect to splash out between 10 and 15% of the cost of your dress on them. Remember that to get the most use out of a pricey pair, you can always have them dyed after you've tied the knot to complement other outfits. Otherwise, opt for a pair of cheap wedding shoes — there's a brilliant range on the market.

And finally, show off your shoes! Don't hide them under your hem — ensure your dress sits where we can see 'em! After all, we wouldn't want our tremendous tips for chief cheap wedding shoes to be in vain...
