“I wanted to show that wool can be used for more than carpets and wooly hats”
Sporting a bespoke £1,500 wedding dress crafted from the fleece of her sheep Olivia, Louise was truly a wife in sheep’s clothing. Groom Ian was also decked out in a custom wool waistcoat, and guests were given chocolate sheep favours and a lamb wedding breakfast.
The couple, whose Lincoln Longwools took first prize at the 2008 Lincolnshire Show, wanted to put their fuzzy friends to good use. “I wanted to show that wool can be used for more than carpets and wooly hats”, said Louise.
