Anneka's Wedding Decoration
Atishooooo! We were able to cheer up bride-to-be Anneka Collins and H2B Phill Howe recently, when the couple were off work suffering from a cold - on her birthday, no less! The Plymouth couple were delighted to hear that they were our May Power User prize winners of a venue decoration package worth £1,000 from Pumpkin Events... just what the doctor ordered!
It's always a nervous but exciting moment, making a call to a UKbride member to tell her she's won our monthly wedding prize. We were a little thrown, though, by just how poorly this month's winner Anneka Collins sounded! It was poor Anneka's birthday and, worst luck, she was off work suffering from a really bad cold.
Despite sounding really groggy, Anneka cheered up when we congratulated her on being the winner of May's Power User competition prize; £1,000 of venue decoration and bespoke event design from Abigail Taylor, the creative talent at Pumpkin Events.
The company is providing chair decoration for Anneka's guests, table runners and centrepieces, candles, napkin rings and loads more to ensure the bride's wedding reception looks absolutely beautiful.
The company's Abigail Taylor will design a unique look for Anneka and fiancé Phill's wedding and says; “My personal favourite is our vintage glamour styling, perfect for luxurious weddings with a touch of pastel. Our vintage gold table runners, antique candelabras, pink crystal glassware and beaded napkin rings look stunning!”
Anneka is from Birmingham and met Phill in the World of Warcraft Community four years ago. She moved down to Portsmouth where they now live and the couple will marry in January 2014 at the March Farm Hotel in Royal Wootton Bassett.
"I've never won anything in my life and this is the best thing ever!" said Anneka.
