Me and OH got engaged in Feb 2011 and have now finally agreed on a date, which is Friday 9th May 2014!!
It feels like an age away but we have to be realistic and I have alot of bookings already set for 2013, Lots of brides!!
Feels strange that I will actually be planning my own wedding and not dressing somebody else's venue!
Are there any other May 2014 Brides out there? I am from Burnley, Lancashire.
What have you got booked/not booked, when are you booking them? We have not got anything booked yet, I am waiting for a final price from 2 venue's that we have picked!

hello....im marrying 27th may 2014 in cyprus. Booked the church...reception and photographer with the help of a wedding planner...bought my dress...got it on bay of e for £50!! yes £50....another bride bought it...its handmade lace and beading and gorgeous..unfortunatly she never married and i snapped up the barg...some may think its bad luck but i just saw an oppurtunity for a bargain!! The price tag said £1200 when i received it...just got to fit in it now lol
would love to hear from other brides...never thought i would be getting married..and now i am im super excited..just wish it was sooner!!

im also searching for bridesmaid dresses...i want peach strapless maxi dresses but wow is it hard. both my bridesmaids are perfect 10's but with huuuuuuuge boobs lol..and everthing just makes them look so slutty (sorry) lol..just about to send another style back to website tomorrow as again they didnt look right on the boobs...thinking of maybe getting them made xx

ladies i need to have a mini rant (sorry)... my mum keeps putting muckers on everything! as i posted earlier i want order my dress so i know i can afford and i love it too... i put in r secret group that i wanted to order and she said "i still think its to soon to order it put the money away then you will afford it give me the money every week so you cant get at it x" i replied "ermmm...no!" she then replies "you must be minted, what happened to not caring if it was 2nd hand?? i know you like this one but its very expensive Amy look around 2nd hand same sort of style"
the dress i want is £1200 which inc alterations etc...... and ive discussed with the shop owner and shes already knocked off 10% and weve worked out a monthly payment plan of £50/ month which i can do she just doesnt seem to get it!!!!! with regards to 2nd hand ive changed my mind and want new and tailpred to me x

Been engaged since Feb 2011 and hoping for 17 May 2014 (also my 26th birthday) depending on how much prices differ for the 15th or 16th being Thurs/Fri. Found our venue a few weeks ago and so going to discuss catering etc on Sunday and finally secure whichever date we decide to go for so we can start arranging everything else! Hoping to stick to our £5/6k budget (in laws horrified at £2k+ for venue/catering etc... - they did get married 25 years ago!) as only planning 50/60 guests, hopefully marrying in the afternoon with a BBQ rather than a proper sit down meal. Not even looked at dressed yet! :-/

Hey may 2014 brides we sorted out our suits today was very overwhelming seeing my OH in his suit made it feel very real I can't waitress now less than 500 days for us now :) x Have you all got your dresses I had bought one of the bay of E but have decided to stick it back on and get one from the shop we are getting the suits from think I really want to choose it with my mum and MIL x play dress up for the day, the lady today said latest I need to have chosen is July so starting diet again on Monday lol :) x

Arhh don't you wish it wasn't soo far away! Ours is Friday 30th May 2014 and to bs fair since we booked it back in October it has gone really quick but does seem like it's too soon to get too excited and do too much yet? Or is that just me? We have booked our venue, photographer, videographer an florist so far, mainly cos I wanted the most expensive things confirmed for budget purposes! I am starting my dress search next month although I have this worry that I might be looking too soon and il order a dress and will go off it by the time the wedding comes round!
I have all the ideas and know exactly what I want so Hopefully once we are on the 12 month countdown it will be all systems go!

were looking at May next year too, but not officially set the date yet until we can get to the travel agents and decide where we want to get married and how much it will cost and book it etc. Can't do that til April but as were off next week were going to see if we can get prices next week. Were looking at the carribean that's as far as we have got for now.
But have found my dress and just getting the deposit together for it and have 2 photographers and 2 cake makers narrowed down. Nothing else booked or anything yet xx
